About as dumb as thinking he was a bad hire less than 2 months into his tenure at a new school right?

That's what is the most puzzling to me. You have brand new coach's throughout the entirety of the program, and yet, people want microwaveable results. There will be more bumps in the road but the man deserves some time to correct, tweak and make this roster perform the way he expects.

Sorry, by ranters don't get to decide this year or the next how this will happen.

I hope this is sarcasm and not that you've actually missed the whole point of this thread?

The point? It's quite obvious this is an "I told you so" thread. Again, 1 good series doesn't send us to Omaha just like the losses to Tech and Aggies doesn't mean we are eliminated from Omaha.

There was improvement this weekend. Everyone can recognize that, but level-headed people will proceed with caution.

We're not crowning him at all. But it's clear that this team isn't quite as bad a some said as recently as Friday. Maybe Jay actually does know a little about how to coach. Maybe he just needs time to find the right solutions.

Acknowledging good or bad isn't the issue. Wanting him fired, saying he was the wrong hire or in over his head is the problem because it's w
Still premature. Just give him a chance. This was never going to be a 1 year turn around.

Did you just not read this board the past few weeks?

It's a start... But the team has to show consistency and that has lacked.

First few weeks into a new guys tenure.

Folks really just need to relax. Idiots were already calling for his head, and you can't argue with that kind of stupidity.

GTFO with this nonsense. This place was flooded with posts about him not being the guy, the job being too big, blah blah blah. We just went and won a series at UF.

Eat your fricking crow and learn to maybe not judge a new hire based on 1/4 of a season.

Yes, these are the people who haven't been criticizing Johnson to this point.

Those who have aren't level headed and are drama queens.

I have no crow to eat. I never said any of the stupid shite you posted because im not a fricking idiot. Of course he needs time. My point is this thread is trashing those "knee jerk" reactions that actually had a larger sample size of bad play, while making a "knee jerk" reaction after 2 games. Should he be fired? Absolutely not and anyone that really said that and meant it is a fricking idiot.

I actually love the JJ hire and think hes going to do really well here. But the past few weeks, the concern has been warranted. Now, it looks like he may have pushed the right buttons this weekend, but if 21 games isnt enough of a sample size for some to make observations and voice concern, then a 2 game sample size surely isnt enough for the other side to beat their chest.

GREAT weekend of team baseball.
IF the young pitching staff - Dutton, Taylor, Floyd - progress, we'll compete well in the weekend series. Getting Coleman back would be huge too.
Need Money to dominate this Friday night, and set the tone for the next series.

When people are wrong, the lengths they go to appear smart and double down on idiocy.

Its the first three weeks of the season in a bra nd new regime.. You people are soft.

I don't think he was a bad hire. I really still don't know how good this team is. They have looked both really good and really bad at times. I was frustrated that Jay wasn't making changes to try to fix the mistakes. He made some changes this weekend and it worked out. I hope we can keep it going.

Fans are going to be happy when the team wins and mad when they lose. That's just how it goes.

Im not wrong though

Do yall not realize that im actually in agreement with yalls side of this? The people here that were saying the dumb shite like "this job is too big" or "He needs to be fired" are absolute morons and obviously shouldn't be taken seriously moving forward. However, its perfectly fine to point out that there were some areas of concern. That was quite evident over the 1st 22 games. Do yall not read anything?

That doesn't mean that I cant point out the hypocrisy of this thread. Im just being the devils advocate here. Its doing the same thing that yall are bitching about others doing, but with a smaller sample size

It takes a little time for a new coach to sort things out. I wouldn't say things are fixed after 2 wins but I would've sure like to have seen how the A&M series would have gone with the Shortstop/second base flip.I wouldn't say we are fixed but I would say we are better.
