Sorry, it’s unrealistic to expect host a regional every year. For one thing it ignores the conference but also injuries and just plain bad luck. Or last year for example we had a record number of guys drafted after winning in 2023.
In 22 seasons (2020 cancelled) since Skip retired LSU has made the tournament 19 times. Hosted a regional 14 and been in SR 11 and CWS 8.

you are absolutely correct but we haven’t hit the ball in weeks and that does carry over into regionals

We have the best baseball fans of any college in the country.
With that comes a number of fans that don’t understand certain aspects of college baseball.
The examples that jump out to me-
1. This isn’t the 90s. There are 15 SEC programs that put resources into baseball. In the 90s there were only a handful.
2. The SEC tournament doesn’t mean shite if you’ve already locked up a top 8 seed.

Right now the SEC is projected to have 8 host sites. You think it’s absurdly unrealistic to expect to be in the top 8 in the SEC every season?
My how the mighty LSU baseball has fallen LSU should absolutely host a regional every season to not do so is a failure

I have said this exact same thing. Hosting a regional should be a minimum requirement given we have the #1 class and #1 transfer class
But when we literally don’t play most our transfers I guess it doesn’t matter
