This seems bad, but all this portal non-sense makes my head spin. I don't follow much on the recruiting or portal components too much anymroe because it changes so quickly. I just wait until first game. So often, a kid enters the portal for unknown to us reasons only to find out we have a better relacement planning to come in.

This is just the way it is now, and it will only get worse.
You can't get attached to any recruits because many of them won't be with you by year 3.
You also have to steal players from other schools. It just is how the game is played now.

Hard for me to complain about a kid entering the Transfer Portal for a better opportunity when our last two Heisman winners transfered to LSU. We need to get under the 85 limit in order to bring in some interior DL help.
