Javonte Smart - SEC 6th Man of the Year?

I’m a big fan, except for his trash talking.

I am struggling to recall having someone as potent as him coming off the bench.

I’ll take random technical to offset all the swagger and fight he brings to this team. It was something we sorely lacked last year.

Emmitt brings some attitude too.

Wade would easily have stopped it by now if he wanted him to. He won’t because he likes those types of players

I know this will be taken as a negative comment, but it's not my intention. However, I am going to give my honest take.

He was shooting about 35% from the field coming into today, and 30% from 3. Strictly judging him as a freshman, I'd say he's had a pretty good year.

But if we're talking 6th man of the year, I don't think he plays efficiently enough to win that award, at least at this point. He basically plays starter minutes, and hasn't shot real well except from the line.

Today he had a great game, and that shows what kind of talent he has. I'm just trying to be realistic as it pertains to this topic.
