Wow that's interesting. Not long ago I was thinking Cannizaro may be the new Tulane hitting coach with Gautreau taking over as the head guy. That's another name to look at Gautreau is a finalist for the Ole miss recruiting coordinator/hitting coach job.

If Javi is as business savvy as he is a hitting coach, he's probably partnering with couple of college buds to invest in a line of blockbusters.
But seriously, he was an excellent recruiter, and he probably got more hell than he deserved. It was just a question of nepotism when you have the largest budget in college baseball and hire a coach with the pedigree Javi had
