Well I up voted not because I think Jarvis will have a better year next year but for the love for him. He is a favorite of mine and I thought and still think he will have a better career when done.

Jarvis is going to be a solid receiver for a long time, but OBJ is just too dynamic. If Landry played with an elite QB, he could probably rack up redzone TDs. I can't see Landry keeping up with OBJ in receiving yards.

Yea I believe so as well. Jarvis never really had problems dropping passes here at LSU. The dolphins also run alot to his side because of his great blocking ability. I expect Jarvis to be the man in Miami for years to come.

no
And, that's not a knock on Landry.
You are absolutely missing the boat on Beckham. He had one of the best rookie seasons for a WR ever.

OBJ: 7.6 rec/game
108.75 yds/game
1 td/game
14.3 yds/catch
Landry: 5.25 rec/game
47.4 yds/game
0.31 tds/game
9 yds/catch
What exactly does Landry do better than OBJ? Landry is a nice #2/3 receiver but OBJ already proved he is an elite #1. Stop being a Landry fan boy for a second and look at the facts.

I've always said Jarvis is Hines Ward 2.0.
Tough as nails, hard working, shite talking, shorter receiver that does everything well and seems to catch everything. Runs crisp routes, blocks very well, etc. Will be a great, reliable WR in the game for over a decade. He isn't the fastest player on the field, the biggest, or the most athletic, but he is good in all areas.
OBJ is a superstar playmaker. He's like an Antonio Brown, Steve Smith Sr., etc. He will have 200 yard, 3 TD games. He is a walking highlight reel.

My point is that Jarvis Landry is probably going to be a monster in 2015 simply because he has a good QB, a deep WR threat opposite him (ODB at LSU), and solid TE's at Miami
what does this have to do with it?

Love Jarvis. Probably my favorite Tiger player behind Kevin Faulk, but OBJ is simply a more dynamic receiver. He's got blow the top off speed and incredible ability to change direction while at near top speed to go along with the great route running and hands. He and Jarvis share a similar skill set with routes and catching but Beckham also has elite physical abilities that IMO separates him from Jarvis.
Beckham has looked borderline unguardable out there.

He had all of those things this season and he wasn't a "monster". Beckham doesn't need any help, he just dominates.

Also kinda says something when his name is getting mentioned right next to Lebron James' name in headlines.
Odell's quote "I by no means cheer for Dallas but I have no idea what or how thts not called a catch . Thts a joke"
Glad theres a mutual hate for dallas

We do love Landry, but are you auditioning to be his agent?
Posted on 1/12/15 at 11:14 am to tadelatt
I agree, he could be, but I would still draft Odell over any wide receiver last yr. Also, bet you Odell is the Nu 1 fantasy league player for 2015.
