I’m ok with Jones minus the obvious defensive gap at 1st. Jobert is just another example of Johnson playing faves a la Cooper.
Rally killers. Period. That said, what if there isn’t anything better after? ?????

Jobert just doesn’t have it. Very disappointing. Jones I can deal with. Time for Kling full time.

I’ve been saying it all year. Jones needs to be out of the lineup. His strikeout percentage is atrocious. Put Morgan at first and put Kling in the outfield, maybe even Pearson. Something has to change, we are in a an rut and need a slump buster lol.

Long time lurker. First time poster. I created this profile just to say this. Anybody that thinks LSU should bench Jared Jones is an idiot. Slumps happen. It’s baseball. Geaux Tigers!

Post less. A 43% K rate on the season is not a slump

Guess you’re related lol, don’t take it personally. The dude whiffs more than anyone on the team. I know he has power but damn get on base. His strike out percentage is TERRIBLE.

Beloso in the 5 hole is some of the dumbest lineup shite I have ever seen.

Lmn. But since you’re so good with numbers let me know if these are any good? .322 BA / 14HR / 45 rbi / 1.128 OPS. Does he strike out a lot? Absolutely. But you can live with it when he’s 3rd on the team in slugging @ .685 & 2nd in homers

I can read the broadcast graphics as well as you can. He is the definition of a three true outcome hitter.
You can stomach guys like that in the lineup even if their strikeout rates hover in the low-30s percent. 43% is simply unacceptable and points to a lack of discipline, coaching, or both.
I don’t want to have to take him out of the lineup, but he absolutely can not continue to strikeout at nearly the rate of a coin flip

Jared will see 99% off-speed pitches going forward. There will be the odd fastball just to keep him off balance. He better learn to hit these curves and sliders soon.

i know JJ had needed to be on the bench......try fry at 1st

This team needs a 2009 lineup shake up. Tre back to 1st, Kling to RF. Figure out the rest from there.

Well it’s 1 for 4.5 with Jones.
He hits homers
He gets on base
He drives in runs.
He just strikes out a lot.

Beloso batting .200 or so in SEC play

Jobert is a trashcan kid should never see the field again. Put Kling in and roll, let him have the experience

.232 with a .400 OB%
He stays in the lineup

I am tired of Beloso coming up with runners on base and not getting a hit
This. Up 4-2, bases loaded, and Chunky bounces into a double play.

It is time to shake up the lineup. Kling needs to start in the outfield, and Morgan needs to return to first. Jones needs to sit because he has become a strike out machine. I would also sit Beloso and make Travinski the DH to see what happens; Travinski is brutal behind the plate.
