That’s how old school football was man.

We were taught to keep the head up, hit with the pads and wrap up. Spearing was always frowned upon.

Spearing has always been a rule, but no one made that big a deal out of it until about 5 to 10 years ago when the CTE stuff started popping up.

That call definitely would not have been made 10 years ago. I would go so far as to say it would not have been called five years ago.
Is the game less enjoyable to you since the increased focus on safety? Yeah it sucks that kids get ejected, but it sucks much worse when kids have to deal with permanent injuries for the next 50 years. If we have to eject 100 players to prevent one neck injury, I'm good with it. You can play hard, tackle, and make great plays without hurting yourself or others.

After the ejection, I watched a replay of his hit on Burrow at the end of the first half and his helmet was lowered then too, he just happened to hit with his shoulder.
Every single tackle, from high school to now, when Skalski has the chance to line up his shot he lowers his head.

i watched about 2 minutes of that and literally ever tackle he made his head was down. Kind of crazy. You sort of expect that at times at the high school level, but you'd think by the time you get to big time college football, coaches get on you constantly and you quit tackling like a moron. This idiot is without a doubt going to have issues in his neck when he gets older. I'd bet money on that.
Got a buddy who tackled the same way in high school and is late 30's now and dealing with the neck issues b/c of it.

When you get tired and go on instinct, you do what you've always done before. I just knew he did this all the time in high school and coaches didn't tell him shite.

Tiny dick roid head has some issues. Laughed my arse off when he got ejected.

He’s a shitty leader too. In the back of my mind when he got ejected I thought he was going to “rally the troops” and give an emotional speech on the sideline to swing momentum, and instead he threw a temper tantrum like a selfish crybaby bitch and walked off the field without so much as talking to his teammates.

Disagree about an ejection should not be made. This is a very serious situation, and in this case, he checked all the boxes. 1) used the crown of the helmet 2) caught part of Jefferson's helmet and 3) which I have yet to see mentioned by anyone...he flat out LAUNCHED! His feet came way off the ground so he dove right into the guy.

Doesn't matter what the penalty was years ago as some have brought up (used to be called spearing as we know). 100% irrelevant. It is about the safety of the players. Don't want to get thrown out of game? Then DO NOT DO IT!! This wasn't even a marginal call. I for one completely support ejection from the game
