Jamarcus always needed structure. Raiders were a horrible spot for him. Put him with an organization like the Steelers or Packers, he would have had the opportunity to be much better.
He went into a meeting with Matt Millen constantly checking his watch within minutes before he was even drafted. The dude isn’t right in the head and never has been. They gave him blank tapes and he said he watched them.

I had him in my geology class. He’d sit at the top row in the corner. Put his sunglasses on with his black leather jacket that had every NFL team on it. Professor would yell at him to take his sunglasses off. He’d lean back and go to sleep. Everyday footballs would be passed around to him and the other football players that were in that class. I think D Byrd might have been in that class too.

What a dumbass. That is pretty disgraceful for anyone, but especially for someone who was once paid 60 million dollars. He never struck me as the smartest, but I never thought he was a bad guy.

Have you seen the price of lean or drank of whatever you want to call it.

I will agree with your comment about bonehead plays.
I remember the Monday evening game vs Tennessee him scrambling on 3rd down late in the game and running out of bounds to avoid a sack. Instead of throwing it away, and being able to kick a FG, we lost yards and had to punt. We lost by 3.
I thought it was the dumbest thing I ever saw a QB do. That was topped by Jordan Jefferson a few years later though.

The clincher for me was the Auburn game. A game we absolutely had to win to stay in contention for the title game.
With LSU down by 4 on the final drive. He tries to run instead of throwing the ball away, losing 14 seconds. And on the final play with 3 seconds left from the 24 yd line, he throws a complete pass to the 5, The frickin 5 yd line

High school football and basketball coaches are some of the biggest scammers I've met. (No, not all, but many.) The last place a drug addict should be is in a position that is in charge of tens of thousands of dollars each year.

He regularly attends LSU football games...
Saw him at least twice last year

That’ll be enough Purple Drank to last him a week

This is a crock of shite.
Jamarcus always needed structure.
Ranters feeling sorry for a gifted millionaire is the "Crock".
The structure he needed is about 10 X 10 and it appears he will get it.
The sympathy should be saved for the individuals/children from who he stole their happiness..

Yeah! He also said that he was the most intelligent poster on the board.

I talking about his playing days and not the stuff going on now.
Could you not understand the difference from my post?
If what is claimed it true, it is a despicable act by Russell that should be punishable with jail time.

I’m was a supervisor at a warehouse when JR was at LSU. Our company would work LSU football players during the summer. One of his offensive linemen worked for us. He said Jamarcus was borderline Special Ed.

Right, it’s not his fault; it’s the system structure that he was put in. Dream on.

Yeah, I just don't get rich athletes stealing money or getting involved in corrupt money schemes. There are places for people like him and Brett Farve.
