My point, she1311, is that people like you are always making apologies for russell, and blaming everybody else for his shortcomings. Russell had a crappy work ethic at LSU, just like he did at Oakland. There were games where he led LSU to 3 points, 6 points, etc, but people like you act like he was the best cfb qb ever.

But hey, keep blaming everybody else for what happened with him.

thats your unsubstantiated opinion...the facts are, however, that he led LSU to a 25-4 record in games he started, and it would have been even better if he was the full-time starter in 2004, like he should have been

wow, this is such bullshite...LSU scored 3 or 6 points once in a game jamarcus started, 2006 auburn, in what is widely considered the worst called game in the history of LSU offensive coordinators, and he still almost and should have won it

like someone else said earlier, people in oakland hate him and they have a legit reason. LSU people hate him, and have hated him for a while for ridiculous reasons. You dont know these fricking people, dont act like you do and dont form any kind of emotional attachment to them and then get your precious feelings hurt when they do something you dont like, you people are absolutely absurd

im a fan of jamarcus for what he did on the field at LSU, which was undeniably good. i dont care what he does in his personal life and i dont care what he does for the oakland raiders because 1. im not a homely loser who worships these kids and 2. im not a raiders fan

jeez

He is an alum of LSU and wearing bama gear. Not good form. I am sure JR knows this is not good form. Which means, he is doing it on purpose and deserves whatever ridicule comes his way.

Maybe that is a psoitive for LSU. Do you believe that the Bama fanbase will claim him?

the way LSU been sucking it up the last couple of seasons, i can see why he doesnt want to sport LSU gear.

JR was born and raised in bama and they just won the NC.

He probably wishes that more than you do, and for good reason.

All LSU did for him was give him the opportunity to get a guaranteed $30 million dollars. What? Could he have gone higher in the draft if he'd gone to Alabama?

That Bama Boy necklace at the Sugar Bowl sent me through the roof. LSU did more for Russell than he will ever do for himself. Russell is a loser and will be working at McDonalds within two years.

Would you like to supersize that order?

GTFO with this bullshite

LSU gave russell a full scholarship and jamarcus payed LSU back with football wins and a ton of money, a lot more than a scholarship to LSU is worth...jamarcus doesnt owe LSU a damn thing, just like LSU doesnt owe jamarcus anything. the second LSU fans realize the everybodys all-american days are over and a vast majority of these kids use schools to showcase their talents and have no emotional ties, the fricking better

and you cant make the argument that LSU provided him with an opportunity to make millions, because he could have gone anywhere he wanted. in reality, jamarcus was successful and the #1 despite being at LSU, not because of. give him better/less conservative coaching and a pass happy offense and he would have shattered records

sad thing is, most lsu fans are actually hoping this happens

You got me Dude. Russell was the only QB in the NCAA who could have done that. To say that he personally was responsible for all the victories in the games he played is absurd.

Is he a graduate? I thought you had to be a graduate to be an Alum.

Regardless, 5 years from now he will be working as an Orderly in some hospital and no one will care much about his past. Including those at the Waffle House he eats with after the evening shift in Mobile. Harsh yes, reality....more than likely.

he was better than anyone we had on the roster at the time, thats all that matters

he wasnt some scrub backup fullback, he was the starting QB. and if you dont want to credit him with the wins, fine,(although he was personally responsible for about 5-6 wins against top flight competition) he re-payed LSU with great play and exemplary conduct on and off the field

Let's be clear - the article said JaMarcus was "wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide hat and jacket".

I you play at a big school with a lot of exposure, you are going to have critics. Using that as an excuse is just that an excuse.

There is no excuse for school disloyalty. Even Maravich figured that out (it took him well over a decade though). It isn't like Jamarcus will ever be welcome at Alabama no matter how much Tide gear he wears.

If Jamarcus were to at least make an effort, instead of showing up for the paycheck, he'd get respect. But he doesn't even do that, and now this. It isn't up to the fans, it's all up to Jamarcus.
