In my efforts to bridge the gap between baseball and football, I have been watching some of my old games. I have watched 3 games from the 2006 season, and I have to say that toward the middle of that season, I think it finally clicked with JR. IMO, we had the best offense in the country after the Auburn loss. He was reading defenses so well and he could always make the throws. Without the "non-call" in the Auburn game, I think we win the Nat. Champ. because we would have beat UF in the SECCG.

You used to bash Jamarcus a lot, didn't you? Glad you've come around.

No I always thought he had the physical ability, I just thought he wasn't able to read defenses well. I was somewhat right, but toward the end of his LSU days, he really picked it up. He was seeing the whole field, and just picking defenses apart. He was impressive.

I think we are going to be hearing about JR for a long time.

IMO, that season towards the end, we would have beat anyone in the country...not that our domination of Notre Dame helps my point out that much...but just watching Jamarcus stand back there firing shots to the likes of Bowe, Early, and Buster...I always loved it. It was what I truly called effortless at times. I was just wanting him to come back for his senior season just to see some of that again, tho I knew he wouldn't.

I dunno, Ole Piss took us to OT and Arky played us very tight. I think LSU beats UF or AU in a rematch though.

Arkansas was very good and Ole Miss always plays us tough in Baton Rouge. No big deals there. LSU beats anyone in the country the last part of the season.

Yah I think you're right. 2006 USC wasnt that great a team, and I do think we beat UF and AU in a rematch. Wouldve beaten OK and OSU I believe. Esp in a bowl game, since LSU has been a monster when given weeks to rest and prepare.

It didn't matter... JR to Bowe - I bet they hit on 70-75% of those plays.

JR was an awesome colleage talent but he left too soon. The Raiders are killing his potential. Its like going to play baseball in Toronto! The Curse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
