Apples and oranges. They were each great in their modes of QB play, but I'm not aware of any great run scrambles by Russell.

Vince Young was one of the greatest CFB players of all time. He's on a very short list at the top.

Vince Young not even close. Russell had a cannon and played great against inferior teams. He also shat the bed too against tougher competition. Vince Young should have won the heisman and his game against USC in 2005 for the championship was unreal.

Saban....great job with your evaluation of WR Vince Young

Sort of Depends on who replace him with, contrary to popular myth VY didn’t win by himself, that Texas team was STACKED. Without VY they don’t beat USC
