okay so you are just plain stupid. Had to be sure what we are dealing with.

Yes they have. In this thread too.

No, they said that the Raiders were to blame as well. Which they are. You are capable of understanding that there can be more than 1 party at fault right? That's pretty trivial.

quote:

If it wasn't then why didn't he get a second chance already, hmmmmmmmm?

Because he took this long to recover from his fall. He hit rock bottom and didn't have the mind set to come back. Now it appears he does. Not sure what you are struggling with here.

It's not about his weight or his strong arm. It's about his head - his ability to read defenses, to control the game as the leader of the offense, deliver the ball where it needs to go, and have the respect of his teammates on the field and in the locker room. Many guys have a rocket arm, but being a legit QB in the NFL is way, way more than that.

What a dumb fricking statement.

Because he was 310 lbs like 3 months ago. No one has said it wasn't his fault for failing the first time but he's obviously working his arse off for another chance but you are such a pathetic person that you have to keep ragging on the guy even when he is doing all the right things.

JR is a lazy stupid QB in part because of the Raiders.

Nevermind NO team picked him up for 3 yrs or so.

Conspiracy I tell ya.

lolwut? This is my post. Just curious how hard he could throw a baseball. That is the most definite and used method of figuring out someones arm strength.

quote:

I wonder how hard JRock could throw a baseball with a month of two of training from a good pitching coach?

He can throw a damn football the length of the field, I'd imagine he can easily hit mid-90's with a fastball. His motion would be so long though that I think batters would tee off on it.

You take yourself way too serious. Relax, clark.

I just said "nanny nanny boo boo" and you said I take myself too seriously. I might need to run through the streets naked for you to think I don't take myself too seriously.

true, but at least he's doing it. He could be going the other direction and be 400 lbs by now on that frame

I'm hardly a JR knight, but you need to step away and take a breather.

If he stunk, he never would have started a game. Plenty of worse qbs still in the league.

I dont understand why we bash our players. He did nothing wrong at LSU and was a great player. Im thinking someone will give him a chance. After that it will be up to him to keep his weight down.

Nobody hates LSU coaches, LSU players, former LSU players, and LSU in general than worthless, idiot so-called LSU fans.

circle change and 94mph cutter like Mo's and he could deal.
get better.

By Mo is assume you mean Mo Isom. I heard she was gonna try out for a minor league baseball team.

Why would his motion be "so long"? Because he's tall? If so, how do you explain Randy Johnson aka The Big Unit. (I wish that was my nickname, at least with the ladies! )
He's 6'-10" I believe. And I don't think anybody tee'd off on him very often.
Anyway congrats to JR. Losing 50 pounds in 3 months is amazing and it appears he has the right attitude and mindset to succeed. I hope he can become the stud we all hoped he would when he was drafted and represent LSU well.

And to Dominustd or whatever your name is... Quit being such a stinky douchebag. All TheCaterpillar said was "I wonder how fast he could throw a baseball with a little professional training." And you got your panties all in a wad like you have some personal beef with JR. Chill out fella. Others have already stated that they would also like to see how fast he could throw a baseball and so would I (we are in the peak of baseball season you know). It's just something to talk about. Like "I wonder if Dominustd has major penis envy of JR?" It's a message board and oftentimes random thoughts come out and people discuss these random thoughts. So you don't have to come in a thread and bash a former tiger who is busting his arse to right some of his wrongs and make himself better and then be a dick to everyone while you are bashing.

He does not stink at his main sport. He was one of the best QBs LSU has ever had and was drafted #1 in the NFL. He got screwed with a shitty franchise that exacerbated his lazy tendencies. He wasn't even THAT bad in the pros in his limited action.

give me the money the raiders gave him, let the owner tell me and the coach how great I am, I hold out on my contract until i am so far behind, and lastly while I'm in my contract negotiations I continue to eat but not work out thinking my talent alone is enough until I realize how bad the talent is on the raiders and just how much better NFL defenses are than most of the ones he faced in the NCAA's

I didn't realize there was a place isolated enough from Jemarcus Russell to keep him away from Big Macs

Still rooting for JR. True underdog story. Arizona Cardinals (my team) need a QB considering last year we went with John fricking Skelton

Meh.

He wouldn't be major league material but I suspect he'd throw the ball major league hard. I wouldn't be surprised if he rode deep into the 90s.

Alas, being able to throw hard alone doesn't make you a major league pitcher. More likely, batters would simply fear for their lives.
