I heard he was thinking of bolting a couple of months back, but recent press articles seem to ignore it.

You're probably thinking of David Jenkins. Collins won the 3rd CB job and will start next year if/when HB7 and Simon go pro.

It has me worried. Jenkins could step in and play. Collins is young and unproven. We don't have a solid proven 3rd CB like last year. Any injuries and we're loaded with inexperience. Collins got burned a few times in Spring too.
The only freshman that's probably polished enough to step in day 1 is Thomas and maybe Mills. Thomas might be seeing time at S...Raymond is going to need a redshirt.
Mills progress sounds encouraging though. Interesting to see how he turns out. Jenkins is stupid. He could've been a starting CB next year. I'm glad we don't have a guy like that on our team. That just shows you he has ego problems and can't handle competition.

I heard Mathieu, Reid and Simon were all thinking of leaving too. They're reportedly upset with playing time.

My cousin's best friend has a class with E. Reid and he is definitely leaving and going to Tulane for a more academically challenging environment. True story.

They made a gauntlet drill soley bc Jenkins was to soft in practice. Collins on the other hand is sometimes flakey in coverage, but he is tough and coachable and thats all we need at LSU. The coaches can work with everything else.

I was under the impression that LSU recruited Thomas as a corner with the possibility of Sandolph playing safety. Have you heard differently?

At 46 seconds you can see him doing work. He'll be a good one if he can master the mental part of the game.
