"watch it again, the film is sped up significantly as to make locker appear faster than he really is. not to mention most of the film is against OSU & Syracuse..."

LOL, the video is NOT sped up at all. At the end of spring Sark brought in the Nike S.P.A.R.Q crew and they electronically timed Jake Locker at 4.4 seconds in the forty yard dash.

This is OFFICIAL, not just fans blowing smoke up each others bums.

And here I thought the crew sped Locker up and slowed down the defenders so we could post it on the board to make him look better...

You guys REALLY need to get it through your thick skulls that the reason UW fans on here aren't getting a ton of respect insofar as their opinions is due to the fact that the ONLY person being mentioned as part of the keep it close/it's going to be close/maybe we'll win strategy is Jake Locker.

One person.

There is NO WAY Locker runs a 4.4 END OF STORY

i'd say it's unlikely he runs a 4.40

but it wouldn't shock me if he ran a 4.49

Hey -

if it's all we got, it's all we got.

You think we've sucked the past 5 years for some other reason? Incompetent coaching and incompetent recruiting leads to one star player that is fun to watch. we have nothing else.

Wait! Have you seen Dubs?

Locker ran a 4.43 in the SPARQ electronic forty.

I won't harbor any ill-will toward UW fans who are excited about Locker. I just think there either needs to be:

A)A more realistic approach to the game; one in which Locker and the planets don't align to produce an amazing final score.

B)More talk about the X's & O's. While everyone's talking up Locker, no one's mentioning how UW's defense will fare against LSU's offense.

In 2007, our offense was fine and Locker did his part. We would have won a lot of games that year except for the 2nd most porous defense in our history. The most porous? See last year.

2008 was a train wreck on both sides of the ball for numerous reasons. Injuries. Quitting. Extrmely bad coaching.

The offensive stats were fairly impressive, especially for Locker being a RS freshman. The defense just didn't do its part, at all...

I hope for a miracle, which is what it will take to beat LSU. Short of a the stars aligning enough for an upset, I hope our dawgs stay competitive throughout the whole game. This is something we haven't seen in the TW era.

Getting beat solidly is the most likely outcome. Getting blown out and run off the field is my worst nightmare.

I have hopes and dreams that our Dawgs will shock the world, but hopes and dreams are not based in reality. Never say never... though.
