Maybe we can hire Bobby Hebert!

As an Arkansas fan I have no idea why Miles would come here. It would be dumb for him too.
So you are saying there is a chance.....

Bottom Line:
He passed up Michigan for LSU.
Fayetnam isn't that fricking special.

Michigan wasn't going to pay him a whole lot of Money

I don't think he is either, but if what if what is being reported as to the $$ offer, may be tough to turn down. His oldest son is a freshman, so if he's going to leave now would be the time.

I've heard from several reliable sources that Les Miles was seen on the Arkansas campus as recently as last Friday.
Cute, Russian.

He was right on Chavis getting hired as DC, been Ranter god since then, but hasn't ever had anything else hit. He won't post for weeks, and say "sorry y'all I was out of town, couldn't get to my computer, here's what I know..."
He called Kragthorpe, Miles not going to Michigan, pretty sure he called Malveto promotion and firing as well as Crowton's hiring and firing.
He's on all the pay sites as well and is regarded as a true insider by the guys who run those sites.

Has there even been a poster with a better bombshell to post count ratio than belowpar?

if les is doing this for a raise, it's really shitty of him. he should immediately be refuting these rumors.

Belowpar is very reliable

If he's trying to get a raise for his staff, Steve fricking Ensminger better not be a part of the negotiation.

FMV isn't necessarily what some desperate outlier is willing to pay for Miles's services. What if LSU feels that Miles isn't worth 5.25 MM per year?
True enough. I'm faced with similar decisions every month or two. A valuable employee is offered above market, and we have to decide to match it or let them leave. I'll tell you what I've learned: a successful employee is worth more to his existing employer than to his prospective one. But sometimes a prospective employer makes an offer that I just can't justify matching. It hurts a little to lose them but not as bad as it would hurt to overpay them that much.
In this case, I agree with what someone else posted, give Les a bump to where he's in the top four paid coaches. If that's not enough, adios.

That's the point, Les didn't start this shite. This is how bigtime college coaching works, along with any other career that requires an agent. We're not talking about a raise if Les's agent's phone doesn't ring (and it might not have). Yet if that phone does ring, and someone else thinks you're worth it, then you at least get something out of it.
