Deven Marrero hit .280 and went first round. He was a SS at Arizona St. Only had 4 HRs and 33 RBIs.
It's better than JJ numbers but we still have another 40 games possibly

How much do we actually lose in the field for someone with a stronger bat? Does better hitting outweigh weaker fielding, or does stronger fielding outweigh weaker hitting?
better hitting outweighs weaker fielding. It's 2nd base we're talking about here, not SS

Right. His numbers declined each season until he was drafted.
All I am saying is that you don't have to hit .400 to be drafted in the first round of the draft. HS players are drafted and all they have played against are HS pitchers, not college pitchers.
The argument can go one for days. JJ will be a high draft pick. I just hope he picks it up and starts hitting the ball. Luck needs to change.

declined to still respectable numbers

I really think Jacoby will get that black cloud off his back and wake up soon.

Good post.JJ has been and will continue to be one of the great Tiger baseball players.Right now he is in a deep slump but he will bounce back.It has to be hard on him to have to listen to all the negative crap that the rant is throwing his way.Right now he needs all the encourage that real tiger fans can give him.Come on Tiger fans-quit running down our own players.

"Yeah, but the last 2 SEC series don't count because he was distracted by a new puppy. JaCoby probably won't be hyped for Mizzou either, just because they're Mizzou, but he'll go beast mode in the crucial stretch of weekend series against Kentucky, Arkie, Bama, & Carolina. And then he's gonna curb stomp the Aggies & Rebels in the last two series of the regular season. BOOK IT!" -- Doc Fenton, March 26, 2013 LINK

One year A-Roid started the year 0 for 48 for the Yankees. Jone will have many chances to get better.
