Ever think that’s because he couldn’t get dynamic wide receivers eligible at ND?

Besides, it’s irrelevant. We ran Les Miles 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense for how many years and not once did we have a lack of top rated WRs. In fact, some of the best WRs to ever play in the NFL came from LSU in those years. Why? Because the NFL loved how we coached them even if we didn’t use them like pass heavy trans would have.

There’s more to playing WR in the NFL than “run da route. Catch da ball”.

Howard, Collins, and Hurley are all pocket passers

Hurley runs way less than Howard did in HS

I screamed this from the rooftops when he was hired. His QBs all play like headless chickens.

Better than being USC right now. That “dynamic passing offense” sure is doing them all kinds of good right now. Lolololololol

Again how in the hell do you know that one of Brennan/Nuss/Howard wouldn’t have given us a BETTER season?

Wow.

I hate our fan base again. It’s like we’re back to normal.

They are not coming here just to catch 1 TD a year, my friend

With NIL and the transfer portal now, you better have a QB that can spin the ball. If you expect to keep quality receivers

Bech is a fun player but will always remain a charity case type guy at lsu. He has to be absolutely perfect to play over the next guy, whomever that next guy might be. Usually an nfl guy up and down the WR room at lsu.

Guys that are afterthoughts at lsu who are vesting in the nfl retirement pension program.

The love affair for a player like Bech who is so insignificant in the grand scheme of things is so weird to me.

It's pretty obvious why. He's something the rest of the WR room is not.

I try to avoid ad hominem but my god you have the least football sense of anyone on this board.

ETA: EVERY receiver except maybe Nabers has suffered from the JD curse.

False.

Georgia doesn’t have and hasn’t had a QB that can exactly “spin the ball”. Stetson isn’t terrible but he’s no NFL QB by any means.

There are plenty of teams who don’t have great QBs but have good WRs. Besides, decent WRs are a dime a dozen. If there was any single position in college football that there is an over abundance of good players for, it’s receivers.

The opposite of the QB room.

Oh you mean the one we’ve had that seems to actually be able to catch this year?

Hmmm. That USC QB that can “spin the ball” is getting his arse handed to him. Maybe if he could run……

Not gonna argue that. Lincoln would get exposed so hard here.

I’m not saying JD is great. He’s not. He was just our best option this year. I think that was pretty obvious.

I also don’t think Kelly is the type to hitch himself to one player of style of play. And if he does, he still did pretty fricking well at a school that could not recruit nearly at the level LSU can.

If you’re looking for the lsu slant, don’t read my posts.

If you want the truth, dig in.

I think Bech can play at lsu. He absolutely does not change the dynamics of that room though. At all

You also have to remember that just because a QB is considered a duel threat QB, that doesn’t mean they can’t sling it. Look at the past DT QBs that Bama has had that could along it. This team with a Tua, Hurts, or Young type QB would easily be undefeated.
