I didn't show my arse. I made a statement that was a hyperbole of his situation at LSU. Then I clarified when everyone took it as serious.

I replied with the thought that maybe he doesn't care what the fans think and wants to get his degree from LSU...

No you said this:

quote:

or he realizes most fans are fools and wants to finish his degree from LSU...

and then this:

quote:

Irrelevant...and I doubt your hate for him figures into his decision making.

I never said I hated him. It isn't a stretch to believe that the majority of fans would rather see him transfer than to see him play in another game for LSU.

Really cause LSU fans to hold the young man in high regard

I agree. As I stated in the other JLee thread I think it shows highly of both JLee to want to stay a Tiger and highly of the LSU staff that they didn't force him out to open up a roster spot. Honorable behavior on both sides.

Isn't that the truth....how can any LSU fan HATE a kid for going to LSU???? Good gawd....people who hate J. Lee need to get a freakin' life.....the kid has done nothing but try and represent for LSU......it says a lot that he is NOT transferring. Maybe some of our fans need to "transfer" instead.

Who in their right mind would not admire Lee for staying! Except some fool like you. What fine character this young man has. Kudos also have to go to parents. it is obvious they are outstanding role models.

Do you people only read one post? Read all of them regarding my feelings about Lee. Then repost.

Dude. People read all of them. Your FIRST inclination was to call him a fool. Upon someone mentioning he might want to stay in school, you derided that concept too.

Only AFTER you were called out did you backpedal. Maybe you didn't mean to be an arse. Great. Just say you're sorry and didn't mean it.

But you most certainly WERE being an arse.

I agree and disagree. I think if Lee was given another shot at QB for a couple games we would see a much better QB than before.

There is no reason to apologize. Just because I didn't put at the end of my first post, people went crazy. I defended him his first season when people wanted to burn him at the stake. It is a safe assumption that most people don't like him (based on football) and nothing will change their minds. If you can't see that then I don't know what else to say. Someone stated that he might want to get his degree from LSU. I posted that he is still undecided, which at this point after being here 3 years probably isn't the reason he is staying.

I didnt' say otherwise. I simply am saying that it takes a heck of a kid to stick it out even if there is a chance he'll never do much at LSU. Of course, he could also surprise the hell out of some fans going forward.

Save it.

As the saying goes. If one person in the room(thread) says your being an a-hole, you MIGHT be acting like an a-hole. If nearly everyone in the room(thread) says your being an a-hole, you're being an a-hole.

As for the rest of your post. Your characterization of what you said is pathetic. Damn dude. We all stick our foot in our mouths from time to time. This is one of your times.

Now this is just dumb. The WHOLE frickING POINT of my OP was that given the environment, he's showing intestinal fortitude to come back. Clearly, that isn't cause he's enjoying a fan love fest. OF COURSE I and everyone else knows that.

No. What you said was
quote:

Yeah that's it. Do some of you even think before you post?
after linking his "undecided" major.

I personally don't think it's merely the degree that's keeping him here but you were STILL being an arse.

It's part of growing up man. If EVERYONE is telling you you're being an arse, you have to have the intestinal fortitude to be introspective and acknowledge YOUR ROLE in the reaction you are getting. It aint like we had a meeting and decided, "let's frick with SUPERSTAR".

The guy must obviously do something good in practice to make himself and the coaches believe he can perform in a game. IDK maybe he's a coach in training or something.

I am a fan and have never hated an LSU player. The people who you are referring to are not fans so what is your point?

He is strong. Never liked him at QB but I respect him. He will make it far in life, in football or not. Gotta love him
