Really cause LSU fans to hold the young man in high regard. He may well never be a quality QB at LSU but in my view, we have learned A LOT about his character in the last two years.

It would be so easy to bail and heck, it might even be the wise choice. But the young man is going to gut it out even though he knows that should he have to take the field, the pressure will be immense and fans will expect him to fail.

Most 40 year olds I know do not possess such intestinal fortitude.

Or he is foolish to stay at a place where the fans hate him and he will get no playing time.

His lack of "quit" will serve him well in life even if it doing something other than football.

And, any fan who can "hate" a kid showing such MANhood at such an age really show their immaturity. I can only hope that when my son is older, he knows as much about being a MAN as this kid.

I don't know why fans hate him. He had a less than stellar year and people clamored for JJ. JJ has the same this year and people start hyping CG, but still people on here feel the need to bash kids that not only gave their all on the field as young men, but still remain loyal to the university. More than some people on here have been...

Also, i'd say he has as good a chance as anyone to win the QB spot. JJ goes into spring as #1 but it's not like he's cemented his place on the depth chart.

Nice witty comeback. Is that all you have to contribute.

I never said that I hate him, but clearly the majority of fans do and he probably will never get any meaningful playing time.

Irrelevant...and I doubt your hate for him figures into his decision making.

So finishing school at lsu is so important to him that he's undecided?

From your LSU Sports Bio Link:

Ranks second to Tommy Hodson in LSU history for freshman quarterbacks in yards, touchdowns, attempts and completions

Looks like he shows promise to me.

Why is this the case? JJ was just that far ahead? Or is Garrett going to save the day.

JJ is one ankle injury away from the bench and JL will be the starter for a hell of a football team. He will get another shot.

I feel the right coaching would have helped JL doe very well. Instead we got Crowton, so I doubt we see much progression out of either.

So as I said earlier, he will get an opportunity.

Lee would be a decent QB if he just had decent coaching.

He could finish a degree anywhere. That has nothing to do with my OP.

In life, he will encounter many opportunities to take the easy way out. The vast majority of college football players never even play a practice down in the NFL. It may seem like a huge deal today but football will barely matter when Lee is 30. But, when Lee is 30, the "tough it out and don't quit" chaacter he shows today will serve him well.

what does being undecided on a major have to do with continuing to attend a particular university?? Would transferring to a different school help him decide?

Most of us will never have children who play D1 football.

That said, which young man would you like your son to emulate in terms of character?

JL or JR.

I'm gonna go way out on a limb and say J Lee has more character than Ryan P.

You have a problem with reading comprehension. I NEVER SAID THAT I HATE HIM. I said that some fans did. If he wants to play football, he should probably go somewhere else. If he likes LSU, then he should keep working hard and just enjoy his time at LSU.
