If anyone wonders why our defense sucks and we can’t even stop the running game… 18 is the reason. I’m sure he’s a great guy but holy shite, teams don’t even bother blocking him anymore and he still won’t make plays. There’s no way Sampah or White are worse than that

He’s a little better this year but I saw one play where a run was coming for his gap and he just shot out in a different direction. Lol wtf, UK got a long run out of it too

I'm with Beckwith when he suggested that they move Clark back to outside Backer and let him rush the passer and keep the run contant

The reads are terrible, but the worst part is that teams don’t even bother blocking him anymore. If a LB is unblocked, he should be blowing shite up and making TFLs

Clark is the only LB worth a shite. He's being asked to do too much, especially since we have no safeties that can play the run.

I’m so tired of this notion. When Clark had to go out of the game we were gashed up the middle for a 30 yard gain. He had a miserable season last year and now he’s the easy victim for all the problems on the defense.
But he’s actually one of the few players making plays. 1 on 1 with running back on a swing pass tackled him for a 4 yd loss.
A running back screen he fought off the block made a tackle for a 1 yd gain. He misses that tackle it’s off to the races.
The defense is not good but he is not the reason. Is he an all American? No but he is not the reason the defense is getting gashed.

ALL of the LBs are clueless. It's time to stop blaming the players.
2 years ago, LBs were in a different system. They had no real positino coach last year, and apparently a shitty position coach this year.

We’ll… yeah. He sucked last year and he’s just as bad this year. He makes occasional plays but a serviceable LB has to be consistent. They can’t look great 1/15 plays and not show up the other 14

The guy has speed. And enough size. He's all over the place and he damn sure is trying. He's also very good with his pursuit angles.
He can not, however:
- read a key for shite
- attack; he always waits for the play to come to him in his AO

Ummm, he wasn’t the only one. We had multiple Lb’ers flat out guessing on run gaps and running themselves out of position… all night long.

Clark was an All Pro compared to Micah.... Micah over pursued all nite and left his gap uncovered by doing that. Why has the Clemson LB not started? I used to think "The Coaches know more than me", but I'm not so sure they do!

A reason but definitely not the reason. Baskerville was atrocious last night and Ali Gaye might've been worse since he couldn't set an edge at all.

Baskerville has had very few bright spots this season.
