Hey here's a thought. When they talked about this on MONDAY!!! Why not move the game to Thursday or Friday night in Gainesville!! Bottom line Bucky didn't want to play us and sankey was all for it. Whatever weakens lsu and helps the gumps am I right commish.. ?

Tulane had a game vs UCF this week and they had it all figured out by Tuesday. This was complete bullshite what Florida was allowed to pull.
It was easy for them. They had a bye on the same date. What needs to be done is the conference championships need to be pushed back a week. Either the teams that make it get two weeks to prepare, or they're making up a game. This game could end up keeping LSU and Tennessee out of the championship game, and allow UF to back in. That's unacceptable.

Yes they were lucky my point is it was handled very early. We were in discussions on Monday for Thursday to get here and not even have a clue what we are going to do is inexcusable.

They could easily play in Tampa. And it would still be Florida fan heavy

So... Is that affecting Gainesville tnite tmrw night? Serious question last I heard was it wouldn't be 40 miles from Gainesville until afternoon Saturday. I'm pretty sure Miami and fsu are playing a game Saturday.

Yes. I've made several posts about this. Incredibly avoidable

yup. When they said they didn't want to do this, it was obvious they didn't want to play the game.

I'd be a bit more sympathetic if we didn't have the same fricking issue come up last year!! How do you not have some sort of contengecy plan? Was the "plan" just to hope the displaced school do what USC did?
I don't blame UF. They were trying to protect their interest. This is 100% the fault of the SEC commissioner. They had several days to avoid canceling the game and did NOTHING proactive to make sure that didn't happen. It was clear to anyone with a brain that UF wanted this game either played there or not at all. The commish has to step in and be the arbitrator.
I don't often go to this extreme, but Sankey should be fired immediately. Yes, this was an unexpected Act of God, but the SEC had DAYS to come up with an alternative option and recent precedent to serve as a guide on how to respond. Complete ineptitude at the top.
