The SEC should have stepped in on Wednesday and forced the move. Why on Earth would they expect two schools to come together on short notice and get this thing accomplished?

Just mind numbing to me that this game isn't being played in a neighboring state.

Could have been played anywhere. Stankey and the SEC office is complicit in this. I guarantee they knew yesterday this game was gonna be cancelled and they allowed the cowards to do it without giving them a forfeit.

I think the SEC was hoping that the two teams would mutually agree on something and it didn't happen. They tried to stay out of it and moderate, but two teams had completely opposite agendas.

I can't imagine that SEC admins are not going to be a little embarrassed after all of this.

It's an easy and standard solution. If you can't secure a venue by Wednesday we are playing the game in Baton Rouge. We all know why this wasn't done we know who benefits so of course the sec will rule in favor of that outcome. We need to start talking to other conferences and do what we do let it leak and make a mess.

It should have been that simple. But I don't know if the SEC has the authority to do this. I really think the SEC should have never let this happen. A decision should have been made Wednesday or very early Thursday morning for a neutral site game.

They do. They sure had no problem making us play a home game in Arizona they had no problem making us play on Monday after Rita and making us play an entire season with no bye week including a championship game(lol player safety) but they knew exactly why Florida did this and still allowed them to get away with it. We've always played the good soldier and not once have we been rewarded for it. Time for a change or at least a real threat of one.

we don't know that. All we know is that the game happened. LSU was probably complicit in the entire move.

There's noway our administration wanted our kids playing 13 straight weeks with no break. That's not safe for our players at all.

No they didn't. Unless you mean one team wanted to play and the other didn't. Alleva offered everything under the sun to no avail.

Agreed. The SEC should've made us both play a neutral site game this weekend. I realize there are logistical difficulties, but it's a pretty simple solution, actually.

Tulane had a game vs UCF this week and they had it all figured out by Tuesday. This was complete bullshite what Florida was allowed to pull.

Saints had a bye this week. The Superdome could've easily hosted with just a little bit of notice.

Let's not kid ourselves as soon as buck tooth jimmy saw there was a storm coming this game was never going to happen unless the sec forced it and with sankey in bamas pocket that butter toothed golfer was getting his way no matter what. The part that gives it away is there was no contengency plan developed early on. Example we can play in a neutral stadium anywhere from Saturday until Tuesday of this week.
