If there was a paramount time, this weekend would be it. I trust we will refrain from the turnovers and penalties and FINALLY play LSU football this weekend.

Keep telling your self that, usually with Les Miles what you see is what you get the whole year on offense.

It was a hell of a lot better than LSU's "passing attack," which was completely non-existent after JL was benched.

I would feel much better if I saw progressive improvement each week...however gradual. If anything, the offense has regressed the past two weeks. My two concerns are 1.) in October we are going to face much tougher defensive units than we faced in September 2.) if you don't see gradual or progressive improvement, is it reasonable to expect dramatic improvement.

The problem is we don't have the hosses this year. Or those hosses don't have the experience. I don't know and obvioulsy the coaches can't figure it out either. Watching some of the routes being run I think I could cover some of them and I'm 45.

Which is why we need a better OC (or at least Miles need to stop meddling in it). I've seen high school teams with more advanced offenses than we have. There is no consistency to our play calling. It's pedestrian and predicatable and not difficult to defend. That's not a good situation to be in when we come up against a defense that stuffs the run and forces us to pass.

The defense can only bail out a putrid offense so many times before they wear down. Our defense is good enough to keep us in the game with anybody, but we can't expect them to hold up when the offense is constantly going 3 and out.

i think les should take over the offensive playcalling completely. Or, well , is that what has already happened ?

This about sums it up. Add to this the fact that teams playing LSU right now start feeling really good about themselves on defense and they play like they know they can win because our offense is not scaring them at all. This does nothing to help our already fine defense. Our defense sees how frustrated we are on offense and it cant help the overall mental state of the team when they see mighty Towsen flexing their muscles against our sputtering offense.

Every team has challenges and for people to say that we're inexperienced or injured or whatever is just dumb. Sure Mett can step it up but the majority of the problems that the offense is having is not because of the players. The ineffectiveness can be seen season over season.

Yes I am happy that the team is still winning in spite of its often dysfunctional offense. Is it too much to ask for "winning pretty" at the same time? Watching LSU on offense is frustrating and the wins would be so much more satisfying if they looked good in the process.

If you are in it to win a National Championship, then a great winning percentage is worthless if you dont assemble a National Championship caliber team on both sides of the ball!

Start by hiring an innovative Offensive Coordinator to inject confidence in our offense and get the most out of the talent that we have!

Nowadays, players contribute immediately. The "experience" card can be played sometimes, but talented players don't necessarily need time to make an impact. Besides, Mett's NOT a rookie. He was in the UGA program for a year, played a full year in JUCO, and then was in our program all last year. If he's got the right stuff, he should be able to step right up and play well.

I say bullshite with your fancy smanchy..

Kevin Sumlin is in his first year-A&M and the whole offense is in their first year. They seem OK with running a good mixed offense.

We have a great Defense!!!

We have a great Running game!!!

We have great Special teams!!!

Why can't we add about 10 different pass plays and for our running game, a few mis direction, and a few RB flat or screens, wheel routs, etc???????????

Why can't we have a spectacular pass offense(I don;t care if its 40% of the plays with 60% run!!!! Then we would not have to rely on our defense to pull one out in Auburn!!!

If Miles is being vanilla? (I say BS to that) If he is then he is putting us in a position to lose because we could have lost that Auburn game. He put us in a 100% position to lose on 1-9 and I will never forget the look in his eyes, and he "DID NOTHING" TO COACH or try to let LSU win that game. I will never forget
