It’s okay to complain about refs in these cases

Sorry but the whole “we lost, shut up, don’t make excuses” trope is a huge load of shite in games like this.
Close games where both teams have comparable penalty yardage and even if bad calls are made, they go both ways… this was not that.
UK had only 2 penalties all night.. both on their defense. That is astoundingly rare to go an entire 60 mins and commit zero offensive penalties. Huge red flag there.
Couple that with the fact that they no called 3 MAJOR game changing moments.
1)no block in back on PR TD
2)no whistle on goal line after clear stop
3)no false start in OT because of phantom TO by UK
These plays were all resulting in points for UK and changed the outcome.
I think it’s way more than fair to say LSU got jobbed on this game and this shite was suspect as hell.
Did we shoot ourselves in the foot? Sure but we beat that team soundly if the game is called straight. And that is something more than OK to complain about as fans.

I thought we should have lined up and tried to get 1 yard and the W too.
With that said, the refs had a boner for flagging us last night as well. I believe they would have been looking for anything to take that away if we had converted (holding, procedural, etc)

Of all the stuff that was missed. The thing that made me realize that they had it out for LSU last night was after the play was whistled dead that Kentucky guy suplexing Sam with the ref standing right there watching and no flag was thrown. That was after one of our guys got a flag for going up to block the pass and brushed the QB facemask so lightly his head barely moved.
At that moment I realized what was going on and was checked out for pretty much the rest of the game.
