Don't really see any other coach besides Jimbo being an upgrade from Miles. Alleva better make sure that Jimbo is on board before firing Miles or it will be a rough next few years a la Texas and UF.

there are plenty of coaches in the country that could do a better job at LSU over the next 5-10 years than what Les is capable of

Frankly, I think the average SEC coach can do better than Miles. Y'all really overestimate Miles at this point.

Let's build this attitude up as strongly as we can so that when it's not Jimbo, suicide watch will ensue.

Chip Kelly would be as good IMO. And with the way things are going in Philly he might be ready to come back to CFB.

Agreed, Kelly would be a Saban to Bama level hire and I have NO doubt a top QB would switch to an LSU commit before NSD.

Chip K would come here with good receivers and running backs and a more mature OL in place.

He would make his system fit the QB to make those things work in his favor and the LSU offense would get exciting in his first year.

Funny statement. This move is to prevent the program from sinking as far as theirs did under a coach who was not progressing.

PEOPLE HEAD MY WARNING.

I know he got caught with his hand in the student assistants cookie..... oops or was that cookie jar??

Either way, Bobby Pitrino is the guy LSU should hire. Trust me, Pitrino can recruit, and it would be an epic battle every year between he and Saban.

Plus Pitrino, doesn't play thug life football. His players either behave, follow the rules, or he puts them out. END OF STORY.

With Pitrino in charge, your not gonna hear the starting QB stole crab legs, or stole shoes out of someone's apartment, or kick someone in the head in a bar fight.

But hey, it is what it is.

You created a username/alter to post this steaming pile of shite? I don't want Petrino within a 1000 miles of this program.

You could argue Tenn and Texas waited too long to pull the plug.

Bot let a long term coach drag the team to losing season and pitiful bounce back years, all while their rivals got stronger.

What you said is absolutely true. Anybody with a hard head and a great defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator can do what he did.

No he wouldn't. His philosophy is the absolute opposite LSU wants and needs. The fans want immediate results and I guarantee you if Chip Kelly was HC here next year you would see a cluster frick on offense. His scheme takes awhile to implement. It's not "let me go into a program and put 60 points up consistently every week". It takes years. Jimbo's scheme is something that could see immediate results at LSU.
