It’s Harvest time. GEAUX TIGERS!

There’s some kind of magic that happens in the fall.
When the stifling summer heat gives Way to cool autumn nights.
When the barges roll down the Big River, bringing in the harvest.
But in Death Valley, a different sort of harvest awaits...
There’s new grass in Tiger Stadium, lush and green.
It’s been growing all summer under the pristine glow of last season’s bounty...and it was a bumper crop.
The field may be new, but the hallowed ground beneath holds the memory of the legends that walked there, like a dragonfly in amber.
It remembers a long ago Halloween night...
It remembers when tigers made the earth quake ...
But freshest in its memory, it remembers Champions.
We should count ourselves lucky, those who bore witness to the birth of a new era.
Like stalks of wheat beneath the scythe they fell, one after another...
Fearless, they marched through the gates of an ancient enemy on the road,
Returning home with another head to lay before the altar,
And three words that changed everything.
Third and Seventeen
Stacking touchdowns like firewood, foes fell,
And unknown names now lingered on lips,
The Valley was watered with the tears of the vanquished...
But some still doubted.
The leviathan loomed in November,
And the West would only be won,
In the house of the Crimson King,
Eight long years
Eight straight losses
But O said, “We Comin’ and we ain’t backing down”
And when the dust settled as Helaire knelt,
While the final time ticked off the clock,
The Gumps stood silent.
The score read LSU-46, Alabama-41,
“Roll Tide What!?...” you know the rest...
They never stopped, the Tigers prowling, feasting, winning,
And when Burrow raised his arms and walked out one final time into Tiger Stadium,
We knew he was The GOAT,
The Aggies can print 50 to 7 on their cups.
The Bulldogs were blitzkrieged,
Oklahoma wasn’t even a game.
And Clemson’s streak was ended in the dome,
As Joe smoked his cigar,
The Tigers brought the natty Home,
Now 15-0 gazes down upon a virgin field,
Like a silent monolith, a testament to those who say you aren’t good enough.
Because you’re only done if you give up.
And now a season like never before lays before us,
Nothing seems normal, the world has gone mad,
But it’s Fall. When winners play football and losers go home.
And a strange crop has been growing all summer.
But Now,
It’s Harvest Time

Last years wins, but need someone to do the editing
