It's going to be hard to bench Max.

The kid saved a losing season and helped a freshman WR break records doing it.

Will be open QB competition in camp.

Dude is smart, clutch, instinctive, confident - a baller.

He was groomed by a pro QB and it shows. It is what it is.

I’m trying to think when’s the last time LSU had a QB that grew up in a football family and how that went.

Max Johnson will be LSU's version of Kelly Bryant. And Nussmeier will be Trevor Lawrence.

The season is over. A lot can happen between now and the start of next season

I would make him the leader in the clubhouse going in to spring.

Max is far better than Kelly Bryant

This entire quote is asinine!
Max Johnson is much sharper as a passer than Kelly Bryant, and Nuss is coming in under 200 LBS, I see him getting the Myles treatment for a little bit. He’s like 189 lbs maybe?!

Myles is the presumed starter. Go back and look at his stats. #ABA

Max is listed at 215.

There should be an open competition but Brennan should have the edge at starter and his job to lose. In my opinion it is best "for the program" that Brennan win the job. Only because if Max wins then I believe both Brennan and TJ will transfer leaving a true freshman as backup. If Brennan wins then I believe max will stay as he will be the heir apparent and give Nuss another year to mature or compete for starter. But if max wins the position then so be it and let the chips fall where they may.

He played well enough to have earned equal snaps in spring ball.
I know the D gave up lots of yardage and lots of points, but without their takeaways we probably don’t win either of our last two games.
5-5 is not acceptable for LSU football

TJ will transfer
I just don't see TJ being higher than 3 on the depth chart next year. Brennan and Johnson will be 1 and 2.

So next year in fall practice if Max completes 60% and Brennan or TJ completes 80% you still think we should give the job to Max?

There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that M. Brennan isn't the starter next year. There won't even be any competition in the spring. He is your starting QB unless he is not capable due to his lingering injury.

It's going to be hard to bench a healthy Myles.
