QB due to his completion percentage while in high school. Then he comes out and looks to be more accurate than our starting QB. Goes to show you that many on here don't know shite about evaluating talent.

South Carolina played like shite. I love Finley as much as anyone but out WRs were wide open and LSU was not going to be stopped that night.

He was recruited by other big time programs as well. It's not like he was a chump that no one wanted.

South Carolina brought almost no pressure and the offensive line played BY FAR their best game. Brennan was top 5 in the country while running for his life. Finley sat back with all day to throw 10 yard slants and did great.

TJ did a great job, but SC pass defense was as bad as ours.

You’d think that even tho Auburn isn’t that good this year, a Kevin Steele defense is going to play much better at home than a bad SC in Tiger Stadium.

Interesting, prior to the game all the talking heads and experts were talking about the DBs, Horn, as being awesome and the DL was very physical.
Their QB was a leader who had mastered their offense.

Watching the pressure state and Mizzou brought and seeing Myles have to get the ball out in .0069 seconds and then seeing SC allow (or o-line not allow them to) let TJ sip tea and read the newspaper was mind boggling. I think he was pressured twice all night. That game was not a reliable measuring stick for Finley’s accuracy or moxie in the pocket under pressure.

To be fair if you had had the opportunity to watch him play in person in high school you would’ve said the same stuff. I understand it’s a whole different game with weaker athletes around him but his balls had no finesse and he couldn’t outrun anybody. I think he looked great this week and has obviously come a long way but I understand the skepticism coming into the game

He was a raw talent that needed some coaching. He has it now.

His arm talent was still evident in HS and he had a extremely inexperienced wr group

Tjs success has nothing to do with Brennan. He has nothing to do with tjs performance.

The arm strength was for sure there in high school but his balls were the same speed from 5 yards away or 35. Just lacked touch and finesse, which has nothing to do with the athletes around him. Again I understand the raw ability and talent was coachable but also understand the skepticism from some fans going into last week

Finley looked good, but his quick slants, while catchable, were not thrown like a pro QB throws them. They should be a foot in front of the body almost every time. Those passes are so quick to arrive that, if they are not perfect, some will go through the WR’s hands and be intercepted, possibly.

Well Finley does have a wicked fast release, while Myles is kinda slow. Just saying.

I said the same Sheet. But since you been on here for 13 yrs, I guess you don't get as many downvotes  Truth hurt. People on here don't know sheet, and never played sports.

They should eat their crow and stop acting like their experts. Just because you been on the board for 10-15 years doesn't mean you know sheet.

Uh, you may want to look back at the game, most of his passes were out of his hand in 2.5 seconds on direct throws or after the RPO. I definitely would not count that as being able to sit back all day and throw.
