Defending Denbrock is not a hill to die on. He was a bad hire for a program trying to compete on the highest level. The guy lacks creativity and playbook versatility. It was on full display last night.

Can JD run? Seems like he broke an LSU record last year for QBs and yet our OC decides to line him up in shotgun on 4th and an inch instead of QB sneaking it and we got blown up like anyone with a brain would imagine. Denbrock's running and passing plays are predictable, so our running backs couldn't get yards either last night.

Daniels looks about the same as last year, but Denbrock gives LSU no edge with his play calling as 6 plays inside the 5 with 0 points showed.

Nothing about the passing game is different from last season. It’s very one dimensional.
except we took Daniels legs away on goal line.

He is dangerous outside the pocket. We planted him in it

Sure will. I watched several of those games two years ago. Cincy had a slew of NFL players on both sides of the ball and dominated their Group of 5 schedule plus 2-10 Indiana. They were mediocre at Notre Dame and rode their defense to victory. They were totally useless in the CFP.

It's a basic, bland offense that does not succeed at a high level consistently unless your Jimmy's and Joe's are way better than the defense's. Mike Denbrock is a problem that will hold LSU back as long as he's the OC.

Yea I mean JD and the WR drops don't do Denbrock any favors. But running 5 plays near the goal line and coming up empty is inexcusable.

again go watch the film studies. he does plenty right

i laid out his weaknesses.

he has no QB to throw downfield which kills short game schemes. he is limited with a non downfield thrower how u want him to fix your boy JD? huh?

no shite? i already covered that. maybe our teams sucks? and cannot execute well? maybe FSU was good? he needs to fix calls in the RZ. NFS. his whole offense is limited with JD. but everybody keep hammering a square peg in a round hole les miles style. blame kelly

Again, I watch the games. LSU's and others.

your boy JD

Do think think putting false words in other peoples' mouths to fake win a TD debate is the right idea? The fact is, I would honestly prefer Nussmeier because of his ceiling as a passer.

That said, over time with this OC, Daniels may have to keep playing because he can run since Denbock does a miserable job scheming the run. It shows against the top teams on our schedule. It's not about beating the non-contenders; it's about teams with elite talent like FSU, Bama and even Aggy where the shite hits the fan with this OC.

JD cannot even run a pocket RPO.

it was trash execution when we tried

denbrock is completely handcuffed

sure he has shite to fix that is on him..RZ calls. short yardage needs ace formation. etc.

but sometimes you are just out executed

4tha 1 from the gun dont work because they do not fear any passing. get under center like with canada. QB sneak the shite some of the best PA comes from under center.

we do not have brady or burrow. change it up.

All this. Kelly is very similar to les miles.

It worked at note Dame cause they had the better talent most weeks.

Denbrock needs to get canned

This is the exact argument to play Nuss. The reason the RBs have no success is because the defense doesn’t have to respect Daniels downfield. As soon as Nuss is in the game, they know they have to send help to the backfield and the running game opens up.

I'm fine with playing Nuss. I embrace it. However, I don't think it solves the scheme problems when we play elite teams though.

If you were to paint the areas where he designed the passes it would look like U the width of the field and 10 yards up each sideline.

Someone either doesn’t have faith in the players, is told to be conservative, or is just really bad at play calling and scheme. I don’t see how you could watch our secondary in the first half and not want to be creative in the second half to help out the defense.
