It seems like the way to beat Saban is to give him looks he has never seen.

Saban is preparing his team with all of LSU’s tendencies and what is on film.
LSU is going to have to break tendencies and show different looks on offense and defense. Giving Saban the looks that are on film and playing into your tendencies seems like a losing formula.
Last year Saban said this at half time against Clemson:
I’m pretty sure Coach O knows this and I hope they are working on some new looks on both sides of the ball. The thing that gives me pause is the fact that Les Miles and Coach O teams did not seem to game plan for Saban in previous years. They just ran their schemes they were familiar with and let the chips fall where they may. The problem with that was it played right into Saban’s hands.
The formula is there. Dabo showed us how to game plan for Saban. I hope Coach O took note. I believe he has and I believe we will see looks in the game against that team we have never seen before on both sides of the ball.

quote:
Well, first of all, we aren’t doing a good job of getting off the field on third down on defense,” Saban said. “We’ve turned the ball over twice, aight. We had the ball on the half-yard line and had a penalty, took points off the board. We’ve executed well enough on offense, scored some points but turned the ball over and shoot ourselves in the foot. Defensively, we are going to have to play a lot better, aight, then what we are playing. They are doing some things — that other people have done to us, we haven’t practiced against that we are going to fix at halftime.”

Well Saban has to throw away his 9+ years of the same ole LSU offense tapes.
So we have that going for us
So we have that going for us

Considering all the analysts they have, you have to assume they have studied all our film. You can also assume they have game planned how to counter. So we need to throw some new stuff at them, especially in situational football.

Also consider LSU's analysts have done the same for O and company as well. Bama will be throwing new stuff at us too:)>

Sounds like Jeaux Jeaux fits the bill:).

Shouldn’t you show different looks in every important game?

When our offense was at its best we really mixed our play calling up.
Go watch some of the breakdowns VS Florida.
Their safeties and Linebackers has no idea what’s going on.

Saban has moles in the Athletic Dept which is why he always knows our plays. His team is juicing up as we speak as well.
Ok...maybe not...it just looks that way every year. For the love of all that is holy, I hope this year is different. I hope we can make quick adjustments when needed.

Who cares about Saban? LSU will beat his players on the field

You can count on the fact that Saban will have his team expertly prepared to the T for what LSU has shown, that is the Modus Operandi of a coach like he is - leave no stone unturned, out-work, out-detail every other team using your unlimited resources and your superior or at worst equal athletes will take care of the rest.
That is exactly why it is so critical that there is a substantial amount of material that either hasn't been seen or has been so seldom seen that it is not predictable based on prior experience, AND that it meshes well enough our offensive/defensive philosophy that we can still execute it.

Knowing how Saban is always prepared and leaves no stone unturned he has analysts watching film on LSU, Saints, Penn St, and any other stop Brady was at as a player and coach.

Actually, there are those of us convinced he had moles up to this point. With the new sheriff in town those may have been weeded out or compromised. As far as juicing, they are always juicing. And oh and enough deer antler spray to handles those nic nack injuries:).

FIFY. Also our analysts can look at USC and Udub video when Sark was there and how he used Julio Jones and the Falcon WRs last year.

Also have some security dude with a shot put gun ready to shoot down any black helicopter like drones seen flying around the practice field. Move the practices inside and search all personnel for hidden cameras. No access to any maintenance service folks near the practice areas without express consent from O's and the AD's office.....
I am only half joking:).

Time to bring back the short side option.

So you’re saying let Saban prepare Joe Brady all week and LSU hits them with Les Miles? Would be one of the biggest psychs is CFB history.

This has been painfully obvious about Saban since he was LSU’s coach, at least. It just shows what a bunch of stupid friggers most coaches are, that Dabo gets praised for doing something that any idiot should know to do.

After Saban got beat by Texas A&M and Johnny Manziel at home in 2012, the next year everyone said there was no way they would be torched by Manziel again.
Saban’s only change was to try as spy Manziel with Landon Collins. A&M torched them again with over 485yds passing and 5 passing TDs in 2013.
Saban is very overrated as far as scheming goes. His defense is basically risk reward, relying on press man with physical CBs. It’s always the same thing.
The teams that destroy them neutralize their pass rush and play fast.
