Diaz lamented that while he has game film, it’s not all useful due to the host of changes for the Tigers. Those include a new offensive coordinator in Steve Ensminger, a new quarterback who could be any of four options, and new top options at running back and receiver with Derrius Guice and D.J. Chark gone to the NFL.

“It’s funny,” Diaz said. "You can tell guys 'Hey, watch this film from two years ago, but none of the players.' You can say 'Hey, watch the film from this year, but only these players and don't watch the schemes or the plays.' And then 'Oh, by the way, watch this guy in red and gray who will be throwing the ball.'"

Sounds like the ole coach is making way-too-early excuses for the Hurrilames. What y'all think?

Meh...sounds like he's just being honest, which is refreshing.

Yea

This is the first time a football team got a new coordinator during the off-season.

It’s putting Miami in a tough spot.

their real hope is to just lose instead of also getting sent to hospital after the game.

I think you buried the lead.

Diaz just announced the starting QB.

Diaz can add 3 and 1 and get 4 and figure out for himself which one is the better one, unlike so many on here.

I'm pretty sure he's watched the film on all of them.

Ah the old “being inexperienced is good” spin.

So like 7 total minutes of film?

Here's what I'll be looking for. Diaz's defenses, even at Tech, were turnover machines. If we can limit ours against one of his defenses, I will be feeling pretty good about the rest of the season.

We are playing them at a super time on the schedule. They lost their last 3 games and struggled in the Spring Game. In the Spring Game their QB's were sacked 8 times. I think Aranda pitches a Shut Out!

Pretty sure that it adds up to more than 7 minutes for all of them, especially if you count spring games, but your are correct in that it's not a lot.

I don't think the Tigers will lose, if Aranda actually shuts out the Canes.

I just think our offense will take time to gel.

So did LSU’s offense.

These appear to be two evenly matched teams, with all of their strengths and weaknesses being a wash.

It shouldn't if what we've been hearing about the coaching upgrades and the talent is true.

We have 0 experience on offense. No way around it.
