"Florida would laugh at you idiots if you brought this idea up to them"
Florida was considering it in the 90's one of my best friends in Big booster, I remember just like many of you guys I ask him are you freaking nuts?
He response was they were tired of Bama's shite and all the fricking bullshite. That Bama ran the whole show from Refs to schedules to Bowls and they got fricked on everything and wanted to play Miami and Florida State every year etc. This is when FSU and UM were all looking at conference changes etc. You notice Georgia is always one of schools that is taken care of.
They will line up with us on getting major reforms in the SEC, even if it means threatening to leave. They have the best overall sports program in SEC and have for last ten years, and have all the money they need. THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO BE SHAFTED FOR UGA.
THE NCAA IS DEAD FOR FOOTBALL, SUPER CONFERENCE WILL Be OFFICIALLY IN PLACE WITH A PLAYOFF SYSTEM WITH 5-7 YEARS. IT IS ALREADY IN PROGRESS. 5-6 SUPER CONFERENCES WITH 16 -18 TEAMS EACH. IT WILL NOT MATTER WHETHER YOU ARE SEC OR BIG 12 THEN. TWO DIVISIONS THEN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, WITH WINNERS IN AND A FEW WILD CARDS. WILL WORK IN THE MAJOR BOWLS LIKE THE BCS SYSTEM. START WITH 8 TEAM PLAY-OFFS AND MAY EXPAND. IT IS NOT A WELL KEEP SECRET.

The approval of the 6-1-1 doesn't come as a great surprise, but LSU did do its best to upset the apple cart in favor of its own self-preservation. Miles and several LSU officials have been on a crusade to get it's game against Florida squashed because it was more or less unfair. The Tigers had to play Florida, a team that has won more East titles than any other, in addition to playing Alabama and Arkansas. The West's other two powerhouse schools had relatively easy cross-divisional opponents.
But in the end, the SEC told LSU to suck it up and play the game, which was the right move both for the conference and for college football.

You losers will never leave the SEC and neither will Florida. Stop crying on the internet and enjoy beating the shite out of a hapless Clemson team.

Florida did this years ago when they got tired of bama shite. They can have an ad hoc committee up on two days notice. The big 12 is looking at Florida state coach bty a former LSU coach. The move of Florida LSU and Florida State to the big twelve ends the SEC. Unless we are going to continue to let bama and their redneck mafia piss on us and tell us it is raining. it is time to geaux. If they want to stop it then serious an real concessions will have to be made. There will never be a better time than now as we are a consistent top ten team with huge national recognition. Everyone knows LSU . At some point in time things reach a tipping point and that time is now. Lets get a committee formed so at least they know we have had enough of this bull shite.
You are extremely dumb. Please do not have children.

what an astute observation. i am betting that the LSU Board is awaiting your presentation and will then make the suggested move.

no way. dumbest thing I have ever heard

cannot believe that anyone really thought the LSU Board would seriously consider the sarcastic suggestion.

Must be trolling...
Why would LSU leave the SEC? More Money? Better Competition? The world is not fair. Deal with it. Saban is one blank check away from being in the NFL.
I think Texas has a better chance of seceding, than LSU leaving the SEC. Thanks for the laugh though.

Agreed. It worked out great for Tulane.

12 team playoff would be outstanding. The bowl system was so much better back in the day where you actually had traditional New Year's Day bowls. It actually meant something back then. Way to many teams are involved in bowls today vs how it was back in the day. Purdue at 6-6 from a down big ten going to bowl explains the shitty reality.
Rad, but I like it...wait...would Slive be the "SuperCommissioner"?

all u peeps who or cring to leave the SEC r ridiculous......Why would LSU leave the thrieving SEC for any other conference IDK what yall crying about..Alabama and LSU is the game that everybody across the nation will be circling for yrs to come, its like the NCG before the NCG....GROW UP and QUIT complaining so much and stop tryn to find an easy way out, cant handle the SEC then go be trash BIG 12, ACC, PAC 12, or even better BIIIGGGG EAST fan..... GO tigers in SEC COUNTRY
Posted on 12/8/12 at 9:43 am to colton#1tiger
There is no need for permanent opponents from the other division. If Bama and Tenn want to play every year, then they can schedule each other as a non conference game when necessary.

This thread is so stupid.
That's putting it mildly.
Worse, it's embarrassing for LSU fans to be such crybabies.

I like the idea of joining with Florida and leaving the SEC. Maybe bring Auburn and Georgia with us. Would leave the SEC f'ed. Could start our own conference with some schools from the Big 12. They are tired of U of Texas crap over there as well.

I didn't read all of this but what is the name of this Bama guy that people are saying was responsible for the schedule? Thanks
