Only thing Alleva did was create a divided fan base that includes boosters. Now you have the fans that still want him out and the fans that want to keep him. Miles better hope he wins the bowl game. If TCU and Patterson can totally reinvent their offense while maintaining a dominant d why can't LSU.

Maybe Stud will come back for another one year gig. He and Les seem to be pretty simpatico when it comes to playcalling.

But have they maintained their defense? I used to think there's no reason why high scoring spread teams can't also have decent defenses--not dominant, just decent--but do we ever really see this?

I guess Ole Miss found out last year.

This fan base has always been divided. Nothing new. Its just turned into a yelling match for the time being.

Didn't Miles say "serious" changes were not needed to the offense??

yeah. it's Alleva's fault the fan base is divided. He's also the reason we can't develop quaterbacks and constantly have inept game plans.

Yeah, well, I have always considered myself a Les supporter and positiger more than negatiger... a realist.

And, I'm now firmly in the camp of wanting a new coach. I'm now expecting mediocrity for the next several years. You have a chance to take the plunge on a new coach, especially with names like Chip Kelly, Tom Herman, Larry Fedora out there. And instead you (Alleva) crater to media pressure and and supposedly pressure from King. The former because you (Alleva) have always cared more about what people think of you than doing the right thing -- see Duke lacrosse. The latter because you (Alleva) have gotten LSU into a ridiculous buyout situation with Miles.

Either way Alleva needs to go, and I believe the time was right for Miles to go.

He referenced Leonard Fournette in that comment. Basically saying when you have a onece in a generation player you don't take the ball out of his hands. Did mention making some changes which I hope and pray includes a MF'ing crossing route.

Keep getting the ball into Fournette's hands, but be more creative about it.

Les basically put words into the media's mouth with that statement, making it a blanket "baby and the bathwater" scenario.

No. The question was "Do you believe the offense needs a serious overhaul"

Miles said "by serious overhaul, do you mean taking the ball from Leonard Fournette? Then, no it doesn't need a serious overhaul"

Definitely admitted that Harris never recovered from the Bama game.

If you watched the press conference the other night, Alleva was not happy about Miles returning. I really think Alleva is our only chance of getting rid of Miles. He was overruled by Alexander on Saturday night. If Alleva is shown the door over this situation it will only serve to give Miles more power/time.

Buddy, his QB can't throw a crossing route. Have you seen how horrible his passes are on short routes when the receiver is moving across the field? They are limiting those type plays to outside throws so that the misfires end up out of bounds, but it doesn't always work that way (see Bama interception to start the second half).

If you can't teach him how to challenge the defense at all points of the field, OR recruit someone who can....then the problem is with you as the coach
