I read this in another post but I do like the sound of this:
Crystal Mett!
Crystal Mett!

Hopefully he follows this up with actions on and off the field.

If grabbing some boobage is the worst thing he'll do, I can deal with that.

No untested LSU quarterback has come into a season with such lofty expectations since Ryan Perrilloux in 2007.

At least he acknowledges that there's a fair competition still to be had.

I'm guessing Rabalais meant 2008, because no many (if anyone outside of Ryan11's family) expected Perrilloux to be the starter in 07.

I really hate to be a Debbie Downer, but this will not endear him to Miles any further. Miles clearly punished Mett after the Ole Miss bootleg, both in that game and in not giving him anymore snaps all year long. Quotes like these will give Miles pause.

disagree. I think Les wants someone to grab the bull by the horns and be the leader, he used to say that about the previous QBs. he doesn't, however, want guys checking to bootlegs when he's trying to run clock. still one of the most awesome plays this yr.

I believe Mett and Miles are going to frustrate each other all season. The difference is that Mett has a much higher football iq than the previous qbs. I believe there will be plenty of times where Mett will check out of running plays into passes b/c he actually knows how to read a defensive alignment. Miles won't like it, but at least Mett will be able to give a reason for why he did what he did.

Hmmm... For me, the jury is still out.

I respectfully disagree... All I heard him express is confidence; in himself and the talent around him. Hardly negative traits in the teams most important position..... CLM could give two shits about how confident\cocky he sounds as long as he delivers... He spoke well about the competition he will face with JR and Kiel, CLM and staff have brought him along slowly preparing him for 2012.. Also, he has had a unique opportunity, to watch from the sidelines as well as on film behind closed doors along with the coaching narration/teaching that goes with it, both the right and wrong way to play the qb position... thats some good stuff.
