We snapped the ball with 9 or 10 seconds left on the clock. At least from what my high school coaches told me, the average play lasts roughly 8 seconds. Cutting it a bit close, don't you think?

How many of you idiots thought Gerry DiNardo was a great hire?
Bad Cat, I'm looking at you.

I remember the meltdown last year, calling for his head before that great unbeaten run.
Many many rantards were calling for him to be fired, saying he was not cut out for the job

Take a peak at how much time was left on the clock when we broke the huddle, FWIW.
Anyway, this discussion is as pointless as Songy criticizing Miles for going for 2 against Bama. Fans latch on to these things when in fact they are criticizing a coach for the correct call.

I'll admit it, I thought Dinardo was a good hire and Miles wasn't. I was wrong on both accounts I guess. Of course, I formulated my opinion of Dinardo being a good hire when I was like 10.

There are at least a dozen programs right now that wish they would have hired Miles in 2005.
Do you know how many teams there are in CFB? Of course this is true.
How many legitimate SEC schools would trade coaches right now? Let's start there.

About 5 in total. Only 1000x less than saw the writing on the wall for both Laval and Brady. Both of whom would still be coaching at LSU along with Gerry DiNardo if it was up to Bad Cat and his posse.

I thought Les Miles was a bad hire in 2005 and thought I was wrong at first but am now starting to reconsider in light of concerning trends I've been seeing on the field since Virginia Tech, with the exceptions being Ohio State and Georgia Tech.
This should win quote of the year. This is exactly it!

there was no correct call in that situation, just different opinions

FWIW, that's one of those calls that either way you go is not wrong per se.
Card says go for two. Momentum on road, chance to put Bama away, closing in on fourth quarter ... it certainly wasn't the "wrong" call as some idiots made it out to be, and also made themselves look like fools for doing so.
I compare it to a 55-yard field goal attempt on 4th and 2 at the 38 ... I'm ok with going for it...I'm ok with kicking the FG ... either way, there is no "wrong" call.
Either way, it wasn't a bad call, and anyone that tries to say that it was is being silly and blinded by their own emotions.

I thought Les Miles was a bad hire with a good bargain in 2005. I was right. Now he's a bad hire at a bad bargain.

put Bama away....at their place....in the 3rd quarter?
You think exactly how Miles was play calling when we took the lead....like he had a 21 pnt lead.
sometimes I don't think some of you read what you write....or really pay attention
