That's kind of the deserved advantage of hosting...your home fans get to watch the game as opposed to the visiting teams fans.

FYI UL could get about 5k with their seating capacity, and would likely bring in additional seating for the outfield so I would assume your looking at 6k capacity.

Good deal. The more seats the bigger possibility LSU fans won't get boxed out of seats other than their required allotment.

Yeah I would imagine it would be much like when UL is at LSU. A good bit of visiting fans in the stadium. Clearly more LSU fans in Lafayette than vice versa though so I wouldn't imagine LSU fans would be completely boxed out.

They need to make this happen

They have wanted to bring in additional seats for a long time in the outfield but the logistics aren't that easy. I would assume/hope they could make it happen for a regional or super.

i think the only logical place to put them is down the first base line. it would be up above the visitor bull pen. the outfield is tough because there is a curtain of pine trees lining the entire outfield fence.

unrelated question....for a super do teams occupy dugouts as home and visitor or would the cajuns stay in the third base dug out all weekend.

I know the first two games alternate with home and away for playing purposes and the third game is a coin flip, but was wondering about dug out situation

Nope you would switch dugouts according to whether you are home/visitor.

Dugout positions correlate to which team is home and away throughout the regional and super.

Right now we need to be more concerned about not being sent to their regional.

The question is, how many tickets would LSU fans get? A couple hundred??

I think that's the NCAA rule. I dint think it's more than 500. The ticket manager is a former player, so I doubt he sends one ticket more than he has to

I hope USL doesn't lose another game until they host us in the Supers. What do we have to lose?
If we lose, no big deal. We're not winning the CWS anyway, and everyone already believes USL is better than us.

But If we win, oh the joy!

Why should LSU fans have to pay because you guys have a high school stadium?

The stadium is top 10 in attendance.

I'm perfectly happy with playing ULL in a super regional. If we win it proves our one game didn't mean squat. If we lose then it proves that we weren't a CWS team and ULL deserves to go for the first time in forever.

attendance =/= capacity

post season is always a packed house no matter where the games are played.

it just so happens that people in louisiana love baseball and ULL is probably the best they have ever been. of course they would sell out every game.

i see your point, just thought i would counter wit h that

The largest attendance for a game at the Tigue this year was 4500. The "capacity" says 3700 but it obviously holds more. It can fit about 5000. And maybe there will be some added seating. But as far as the pissed off LSU fans who can't go watch the game...tough shite. A team is a rewarded with a regional/super regional for a reason. Aka "home field advantage".

I wouldn't say ULL has home field advantage over LSU. The distance isn't there, and the stadium is smaller. You'll have more fans...but it wouldn't be as bad for LSU as it would any other team.
