You don't agree that Tyler is the best hitter out of the three?

No

Or the most clutch out of the three?

Have the other 2 had opportunities to be clutch at LSU?

Or that throwing runners out isn't the most important job or a catcher?

Its pretty important. Scivicque and Chinea can improve on not allowing 1 passed ball each but Moore cant make his arm stronger.

Or that Paul continuously puts Tyler in his doghouse?

He's in the doghouse because hes not going to be the catcher? If he plays 1st or DH will he be in the proverbial doghouse?

Well Scivicque has played all of 5 games or so so im not sure how you can make that argument. Moore definitely has had some big hits though.

I made a point right after I said that saying "or that we have yet to see from the new guys."

But it is already apparent that Sciv greatly struggles in the sample size we have now with RISP.

So is Bregman with a larger sample size.

Last year he was 2-9 against LHP (.222) and 25-87 against RHP (.287)

Yeah. Is Bregman battling for a position?

You might wish he were.

U seem mad. the whole middle of LSU's lineup is pressing with RISP.

All due respect to Robertson I like Moore at first hale at second and McMullen at dh..I think that combo allows the best defense to play in the outfield and better hitting leaving out chinea and Robertson.

i would say only getting 9 at bats against lefties shows PM realizes he cant hit them. not even going to go into his average because the sample is so small.

The outfield battle is still up in the air with Foster struggling, McMuffin coming out of DH, and the potential emergence of Fraley. I know he's only gotten 4 ABs on the year, but I expect him to make a push later in the season.

The battle that is going to take a long time to figure out is 1B and DH. It's a cluster there. DH I'm fine with playing out all year with mixups and matchups, but I'd love to figure out 1B. Chinea obviously isn't an option there IMO. I guess it's Moore/Hale/Sciv?

Even though it didn't work out the other night I still think the best lineup and fielding combo would be:

McMullen - RF
Scvic - C
Moore - DH
Hale - 1B
Robertson - 2B

True. But that assumes all the candidates have arms that are at least good enough. If not - and I think this is what CPM is saying - then you just can't be behind the plate.

Moore gives us nothing on defense. We can still get his bat in the lineup when it gives us a decisive advantage.

it may be. i just dont want to give up on foster just yet and fraley has looked good. there are no arms in that outfield. it would be nice to at least have an arm in right.

Play the righty/lefty game with him and Moore. Play McMullen at the open position accordingly. (DH/RF)

That is if Fraley can hit left handed pitching.

Edit: I don't think Foster is out of it yet and would love to see him in RF because of his arm. Just needs to start being patient at the plate obviously.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a shot in a game or two this weekend.
