Coach O was the HC of one of the greatest teams in sports history

Here’s the difference
High high high expectations for football. Consistent 9-3 is not acceptable in football and if that is where O takes LSU he needs to go.
In basketball making the tourney every other year or so is the usual pinnacle.
If WW does that he should be retained.
Firing Wade is like Kentucky firing a football coach for going 6-5. Who is going to be better? Likely no one.

“But he has a title”
Just like the last 2 LSU FOOTBALL coaches before him. The Program Orgeron inherited and the one Wade inherited were not on equal ground, not even remotely close to equal ground. If Wade had inherited Kansas or North Carolina basketball then your logic would have some merit but that’s not the case. Orgeron inherited a top 5 program, Wade inherited a losing program with zero championship history coming off its worst conference record ever. So this “Orgeron won a title” argument is flat out Rant level stupid.

What happened this season ????
Posted on 1/31/21 at 1:14 pm to 504everNOLA
One is responsible for 100 guys
One is responsible for 10-15
One is responsible for 10-15

So one coach coaches the football team? There are no assistants and other related staff to handle the 100 players? According to the Rant the head football coach isn’t responsible for anything.

I hope he is but as of right now he has a long way to go to prove that. It could happen with Wade but way to early to compare him to coach O. Coach O is on that upper elite tier of coaches in his respective sport and Wade just hasn't gotton close to that as of yet. Haven't even made the final 4 yet much less won the NC. NOt saying it couldn't happen with Wade though.

Great if he is a version of O. This means Wade will win us a national championship in basketball with a team that will go down in history as one on the best college basketball teams ever.
Did you even connect your brain to your fingers as you typed this pathetic post?

Top 5 program? HA! The team O iherited was lucky to be top 25. You freaking no football knowledge clown. O inherited squat. He inherited a team decimated. Low moral, 2 years of sub par recruiting, many players quit or transferred, coaches left or were fired 4 games into the season and we were playing with a transfer QB named Danny Etling.
O had to cobble together a staff smack dab in the middle of the season yet went 6-2 and won his bowl game.

The team O inherited had the most NFL draft picks of any LSU roster ever for 2 years combined before the 2019 squad. They were pre season #5 you freaking no football knowledge clown. And Danny Etling was an NFL QB who was drafted by the Patriots and had a senior season that was the 3rd highest passer rating in school history you no football knowledge clown. He didn’t cobble together any staff either, Cam was fired with Miles and that was the only change made during the season you freaking no football knowledge clown. For you to even attempt to compare the football program to basketball just proves you’re an absolute moron who knows nothing about LSU athletics or sports in general.

To say that the program O inherited was “lucky to be top 25” proves you have no fricking clue what you’re talking about. Comparing LSU football and LSU basketball is apples and oranges. Madking is correct, you are the no football knowledge clown.

Yeah and O took that team went 6-2 losing only to Bama
and on the last play of the game. He also took a transfer QB and did something Miles could not do; improve the offense big time setting a few records. Etling did not play one game in the pros professor. O then steadily improved the team from 2016 culminating in a NC with a team that will go down in history as one of the greatest ever. If Wade can do that he's in rare company you no football knowledge clown.

You are right however those drafted players were part of a classes of 2013 and 2014. Miles classes were not as good in 2015 and 2016. O took the team and only lost to Bama as most everyone did and should have won the Fla game. Not bad for a coach who had to start from scratch in the middle of the season. He should have gotten coach of the year in 2016. You really are a know nothing about football clown. You start from the premise O sucks and try to prove it.
Posted on 2/1/21 at 4:24 am to Kikicaca
Lol you just told me that O went 6-2 and lost only to bama. You can’t even count to 2. Also I never said a god damn word about Danny Etling. I know he only played preseason with the Pats and never in a real game. And that “Transfer QB” we brought in happens to be the best quarterback in the history of the program. You are a no knowledge of anything clown. Again, it seems you can’t even count to 2.

He said ,and lost on the last play

Your entire post is a temper tantrum of straw men and deflection. It doesn’t matter which classes the players came from O inherited them. You’re of course also 100% wrong again about the 15 and 16 classes. 2016 was ranked #2 in the country and the 2015 class was ranked #5. You don’t know shite about LSU football you’re just making things up and hoping they’re true but you’ve been wrong every single time. His 6-2 record is totally irrelevant to the topic. He never started from scratch, he started with a loaded team. Whatever award you think he should’ve gotten is also totally irrelevant. And my premise was never O sucks, nothing like that was even hinted at. You’re nothing but an ignorant child lashing out at people who post facts you not only aren’t aware of but can’t understand or handle. Know nothing football clown is exactly what you are.
