We’re even talking about backup to the backup these days.

It wouldn’t be tRant without a good backup QB discussion. In fact, I think there’s only been one year where there wasn’t a single “the backup QB is better” discussion. Any guesses what year that was?

perhaps you forgot the last game wasnt a win....would have lost to W Ky, Ole Miss, and Arky
Try to forget 1-9-12, but pretty sure Lee woulda lost GOTC costing LSU SEC title and BCS debacle wouldn't have to been worried about.
I do recall that 3 game stretch with W Ky, Ole Miss, and Arky had highest Total O of the season, though.

Ever heard of David Woodley and Steve Ensminger? Or Paul Lyons and Bert Jones? Who the QB is gonna be is not a brand new phenomenon.

I wonder what Ensminger/Woolley would have been like with social media.

Jefferson/Lee will be forever be a debate because Les refused to change QBs in the NCG when it was obvious Jefferson was completely lost and had another kid that played well all year. We'll never know if that game would have turned out differently.

The only thing that it shows is that when you dont have a clear number 1, you probably have all number 2s

Lee's career 1/7 TD-INT is one answer, another is Jefferson actually completed 65% passes called that game.
Miles saved Lee's health and martyr status by keeping him benched vs Bama.

Lee threw for 14 TDs and 3 INTs in 2011. Hardly a valid reason to keep him benched.

And Jefferson averaged under 5 yards per completion in that game. He wouldn’t throw anything that wasn’t a flat or a hitch. Guess if you’re padding your completion % that’s a good day.

Not vs Bama......except for INTs.
Appreciate Lee's service, but he was just as mediocre as Jefferson.

Best thing about listening to fans blame QB's under Les miles was I got to find out who didn't understand football at all. They just thought a new QB would turn LSU into the fun and gun offense. Every year, same people learned nothing and thought it was that Danged ole QB.
