Not even close. LSU will coast to an easy victory.

Why without winning those home games, this game would be null and void and no longer have the implications that it does.

You're right, the Northwestern State and Western Kentucky games definitely had just as many implications as this 1 vs 3 match up to end the season.

I get what you're saying, but don't act like you don't know what you're doing.

LSU wins by 2+ scores then we will here how over rated Arkansas was etc.... Then again it would make this "biggest game ever" talk look foolish.

No it wouldn't.

Regardless of how we beat Arkansas, the win still gives us the SEC West, a shot at the SEC and BCS Championships, and an undefeated regular season.

A blow out would only add to the lore of this team.

Ah yes it will especially if Arkansas goes on to lose their bowl game.... as we have all learned it isn't the current ranking of the team you beat but the final ranking of the team you beat.

Name one game LSU has played with just as big or bigger implications than this game...

You can't do it, and that's why this game is the biggest.

No it won't. Their ranking at the end of the year has nothing to do with what this game means for LSU and our season.

It is subjective, if you are going purely ranking then by 1 vs 3 it will be big.

I can say implication wise LSU vs Tennessee in 05 was bigger because of everything that happened.

I could say LSU vs Florida as that was LSU's first HUGE victory in a long time and helped start the process of turning around LSU football.

I could say LSU vs Georgia was huge as without winning that game LSU may not have went to SECCG and NC TItle and the atmosphere surrounding that game was huge.

LSU has also had several Top 5 and Top 10 teams come into Tiger Stadium where the rant has declared them "biggest game" ever and then after victory or loss it because just another game depending on how the season turned out.

Count my voice as equal to four people who won't be sitting in empty seats. I still think Tiger Stadium will be rocking.

I would hope so... If the stadium is packed and loud and stays loud it only adds to the mystique. If crowd packs it in and they have to pump in the sound through the P.A. system it will look pathetic.

Get the frick out. You're seriously going to say that is a bigger game than the one on Friday. Based off what, besides hindsight?

Even so, we still made the SEC Championship that year, so what is exactly is your point?

Do you honestly think there is a snoball's chance in hell this game is not one of the top 10 attended games in Tiger history?

margin of victory is not a factor. last game of the season with the national championship riding on this game, it's not possible for a game to be bigger.

Because of hurricanes and the implications surrounding the community, yes I can say it was bigger than any game in LSU history honestly. That game was moved to a Monday night and many of the people in stadium including our players were impacted by what had happened the previous weeks. That was bigger than just in a football sense.

what they do after this doesn't matter. again, the nc is riding on this game. win and we're in. no game can possibly be bigger. what happens after changes it none

that game didn't have a direct affect on lsu playing in the ncg. it wasn't bigger

LSU vs Florida as that was LSU's first HUGE victory in a long time
still, didn't vault lsu directly into the ncg. it wasn't bigger

LSU vs Georgia
huge, but it wasn't the last game of the season and the two teams weren't ranked as high. still wrong.

LSU has also had several Top 5 and Top 10 teams
but only once has there been 1 vs 3. that alone makes this the biggest game ever

I think you'll be hard pressed to find many people agreeing with you on this, and I suffered through Katrina just like I assume you did.

the tenn '05 game was not bigger. there was alot going on off the field but, that doesn't make it bigger. just more emotional.

"Has there been a #1 vs #2"?? last game of the regular season

Yes, 1969 the annual Texas Arkansas game. It was tabbed the "Game of the Century" Texas being #1 Arkansas being #2. Was so big they moved the original midseason date to the last game of the year. Hogs led 14 to 0 most the game, and instead of kicking a short field goal to ice the game, they threw a INT at the goal line. Texas moved it out to midfield and threw a bomb with time running out on 4th down, and completed it inside Arkansas' ten, and scored the winning TD after going for two points. Longhorns won 14 to 15.
President Nixon and other delegates were in attendance. Nixon went into the Longhorn lockerroom and awarded the National Championship to Texas, which pissed off the Penn State people.

Back then the NC was awarded before bowl games. Texas went on to lose their bowlgame, and Arkansas won theirs against Florida or OleMiss, can't recall.
And yea, this is a huge game for both teams this Friday considering the winner goes on to play for a National Championship.
I like the fact the media, LSU fans and Bama fans are thinking its LSU and Bama replaying things later and disregarding the Hawgs. The lack of respect tends to motivate the Hawgs, much like when Les Miles called Arkansas, Ar-Kansas in 2007 when you were again ranked #1 and the Hawgs upset the Tiger at BR. Has Les been mouthing off again I hope?
