There’s a certain segment of the fan base that just refuse to face reality. Usually older fans that are content to lose in the super regionals because they’re terrified of any sort of change.

I think you can want Paul gone and acknowledge the following:
It is the third game of a 70 game season
As hard is this is to swallow, mid week games do not matter. PM has a better midweek record than Skip did.
It's okay to give different guys run in the first month of the season to see who should start come SEC play

They quite literally do not.
in 2017 we lost to UNO twice, ULL, and Tulane (or some other LA team).
They don't matter. The conference schedule matters.
