Can't someone just pull for Saban? The dude wins no matter what team he's leading.

I want them both to lose, but they won't. It came down to the fact that ND would be the 4th or 5th best team in the SEC. I can't pull for them to be the best team in CFB this year.

I know I'll get blasted for this but I really have no clue how Alabama (or any other sec school) winning helps LSU.

When auburn beat Oregon did that help LSU in any way?

Since being here in Atlanta for our game, I've changed my mind. The bama fans are obnoxious and are just yelling their roll tide shite and shouting lsu sucks. As much as I hate to, I'm gonna pull for the 'golden domers' over the 'mobile homers'.

This is probably the main fuel for my hatred for the tide. I'm from BR but lived in Birmingham from 2007 to 2011.

I would dare any LSU fan pulling for Bama to live in that state for 6 months and THEN still pull for them to win ANY game.

"Conference prestige".

ETA: Which is a good thing, but Bama being Bama far outweighs that.

Go Irish

If Bama wins, it negatively affects LSU. For those people who still beat their chest and chant SEC...SEC are the same fans whose team will not be competing for a title anytime soon. We are the best conference and are superior, but it now comes down to what can you do within the conference that sets you apart. Bama has won 2 of last 3 Natty's and is on path for a possible 3rd. As an LSU fan, that should stick in your craw.

And the SEC execs in Birmingham are bama grads and don't give a damn about LSU.

LSU fans are stupid as hell for wanting to stay in the SEC. It is seriously fricking stupid. Where else in sports will you see "division loyalty." Do you think Philadelphia eagle fans will be pulling for Dallas, DC or the Giants in the playoffs?

The only positive I can see for LSU coming from a Bama win is the slight chance Saban gives the nfl another shot

As far as winning 7 titles in a row, if your team didn't win any of them how can you brag about that??

If Oklahoma won 7 titles in a row technically the big 12 would also have 7 in a row, would that make the whole conference the best in America?
