Burrow seemingly takes a sack rather than throwing the ball away, is because his completion percentage means more to him?

It’s happened several times this year where he has the opportunity to save a sack and doesn’t.

Let the bashing begin!

No it's because he's often hit passes/ made plays even at the very last second before he gets hit. He's one brave mfr who isn't afraid to get hit hard. Sometimes its definitely not there and its just too late to throw away.

Yes and it's the same reason Brees, Brady, Mahomes, Tua, and every QB gets sacked. Its all because they only think of themselves.

Why risk a fumble/interception when a sack definitely hasn't been a drive killer for us this year?

There is 0% chance that Burrow is considering his completion % over winning a game.

I want Burrow to win the Heisman as much as anyone, but Burrow just wants to win, and when he has a 300 lb DL trying to pancake his body into the ground he is not thinking about being more accurate than Colt McCoy I can promise you.

I agree 100%. Joe is always looking to make a play down field and the receivers know this. They are always breaking off routes when Joe is scrambling and it's produced big numbers. I promise you that is why he's the Heisman front runner. He has held it a couple times a bit too long but it comes with the territory. The third down scrambling to the right sideline against Alabama comes to mind for me because it was a 5 yard loss on an already long field goal when he could have just thrown the ball at the bench, but York nailed it anyway. A similar play happened against Ole Miss when he threw the INT on the sideline. He has expecting Chase to come back to him and Chase thought about going up the sideline. That hesitation from Chase is what allowed the DB to make the play.

Yeah he cares more about his completion percentage for sure. It’s defiantly not him just eating the ball instead of throwing it up in double coverage.

Awful QBs like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady do the exact same thing.

Such a dumbass post. He slings the ball down field all the fricking time.

Really gonna say some dumb shite like that about Joey Heisman. Where’s the closet sonic to you boy?
