Bear Bryant’s son has dropped bags for their recruiting class this year.

There are some posters on here that love NIL and claim LSU is a top NIL school. They’ll also get mad at BK when a guy like Underwood flips.
They have zero clue about the rough road ahead.

I posted this fact and as you imagine they wanted to hang me lol

LSU can't afford to pay a previous coach buyout plus 120 million for a staff and compete in NIL long term. Just can't. Horrible miscalculation and lack of foresight by Woodward.
LSU insiders have said the big money people are tapped out and tired of being hit up.
I can't imagine how sick of this whole thing Gordon McKernan is. When NIL first came about he stepped up in a big way but said he couldn't keep covering everything himself.

They have 3 losses this year. They lost solid guys to the portal last year. Their brand is slipping a tad.

Endorsements. Show me how LSU can compete in bigger markets on endorsements?

Sorta. LSU has automatic built-in disadvantages in the NIL era. LSU can't compete with big markets on NIL. It's simply impossible in Louisiana. It would take some unbelievably creative thinking sponsorship wise to get around this.
What NE or California schools are dominating due to market size now in the NIL era?

Tuscaloosa, Oxford, Clemson SC, Auburn, are not big markets. Neither is State College PA or Norman OK. These are just some of the teams either contending for playoffs this year and/or ranked in On3 top 20 recruiting classes for 2025. If what you say is true, schools like USC and Northwestern should be dominating, but they aren't, either recruiting or on the field. It's not market size dictating the outcome. It's more complex.

Prior to NIL, the LSU brand alone could pull in top recruits year after year, but with NIL now, players are chasing the bag. LSU isn’t set up to compete for the best talent in this new era. Honestly, it does feel like the golden age of LSU football is over whether we want to accept it or not. Todd Graves needs to save LSU football

Get some perspective. LSU is recruiting at an elite level. We aren’t #1 but still damn good

This was a great class with some elite talent but I worry about the next class. And the next one after that. This shows no sign of slowing down and not continuing to inflate. I got the impression we basically held onto this class for dear life. I don’t know what the future holds

I think over time, they will begin to feel the effects as well.

So there are more opportunities in Ann Abor, Mi than BR?! You need cash provided by a billionaire !

UGA was just outbid by Texas for Justus Terry.
He’s right down the road from Athens and UGA had been recruiting him since 8th grade. This is happening to everyone.
New rules are starting this summer with revenue sharing. Eventually we will end up with a more fair system

Are u serious? LSU is a top 10 athletic dept. We have learned our lesson about the nil era and will find a way to get more cash flow to be championship contenders. Idk where some of u get that lsu is just going to lay down and fall behind without adjusting and getting done what needs to get done. We have a huge and passionate fanbase that doesn't take kindly to not winning titles. We will do whatever needs to be done to continue being LSU. The expectations are the same at lsu as they should be. We will be just fine.
