Actually running the ball with Flynn was a definite part of the offensive game plan in '07. Flynn ran the read option very well.
He had some big rushing games, and others, not really, but usually the OOC games (Tulane, Tech). A lot of variables go into that though.

No. Lee & Jefferson's inability to play QB is why LSU is in this QB predicament.

The recruiting staff has missed on every QB recruit (J. Lee, Jefferson, Garrett & Z.Lee). It's not unheard of. It's very difficult to see greatness in a 17 yr. old kid (or outbid the Dodgers).

Shep is simply not a QB. His future is at wideout. There just aren't many 6'0" 190 lb QB's who can succeed at this level.

Kellen Moore, Boise, is 6'0", 187 lbs, and is presently the highest rated QB.
Taylor, VT, is 6'1", 210, and the 5th rated QB.
Murray, UGA, 6,1 209, 22nd.

There seems to be more than a few.

JR was the best, and most efficient, QB in 2006

never said he wasnt, hell i loved the guy when he was here, but the receiver had to be open for jamarcus to throw it to him. he could not anticipate which guy was going to be open pre-snap.

he rushed for 9 yards against tech, if you are talking about flynn?

anyway, i think the plan was he'd run more but he got hurt vs VT and wasn't the same til maybe the final game

I still think Shep would and could be a great dual-threat QB.

Shep can't be worse than JJ or JL. Just run him and throw short passes. That is all we do anyway.

JR was a beast in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. Do a youtube search for plenty of proof.

People always say Shep needs more touches, but sometimes I think going out of our way to get the ball in his hands bogs down drives.

6.7 yards a carry without wildcatting him which has some success last year. Dont force the ball to him in the air. Snap it or hand it off to him. I will take 6.7 yards all day.

6.7 is great and if we threw the ball to him in stride he would make some extra yards.

What has happened with Shep in the Wild Tiger. Don't recall seeing yet this year. Also only saw him take the toss sweep once against AU, and it was for 9 yards. Line him up with the toss sweep and let him chunk it down field, once at least
