Webster's ball skills and technique his Senior year > than Peterson's right now. It was an absolute CB clinic every time the ball (especially a deep ball) was thrown his way. A real joy to watch. I was shocked at how long it took Webster to adapt to the NFL quite frankly.

But Webster had the benefit of working with Saban and having 4 years under his belt.

Peterson's raw ability is > Webster's and he will definitely pass him as he continues to work hard and gain experience.
people are forgetting what a great DL can do for a DB.

webster is getting owned this year since his DL isn't elite anymore.

How good could Peterson be on a team that got pressure the way our 2003 defense did?

too bad he doesn't get credit for it, but it was a superhuman play.

LSU should give him credit for it. In the record books, add one INT to Peterson's stats.

Peterson is the first true shut down corner we have had in the passing era. For those old-timers, I know Cassanova was great, but that was a different era of football.

He shouldn't even be in the conversation. He was neither recruited nor played under Nick Saban.

Demetrius Hookfin > Patrick Peterson

PP should meet with Deion this off-season so he can master his technique and cover skills.

Never knitted a day in my life. Shows your age. Thats means your probably senile, which explains your previous comments. All is forgiven.

It's a little too late to crawfish now, I-59. Just admit that you meant it and all will be forgiven.

Peterson will never get the numbers Webster got because no one will throw his way. The guy absolutely shut down Julio Jones and AJ Green. Both of whom will be 1st round picks.

and whatever his final numbers are, you can add an interception..

To a certain extent you are right. But you can't tell me PP is better than a guy who has "contained" the likes of TO and Randy Moss.

NO ONE is saying that. EVERYONE is saying that PP as a Sophomore is >>> than Webster EVER was at LSU.

Webster had an uncanny ability to pick off passes, but no one throws the ball toward Patrick.

Peterson will be better. The one thing that Cory could/can do is freakin jump. Cory is a legit 6'and perhaps has the hops of a 6'4" dude with his arm length. He was a teriffic point guard and can still play. Just go to the gym in Lutcher and watch during the summer.

Webster only got thrown on because he had another NFL CB playing opposite of him.

He was pretty good, im glad at least a few people in this thread remember how great he was.
