I mean his NFL accolades are in line with most HOF'ers I believe. Dude has 3 All Pros and 8 Pro Bowls.
Things went quite it seems for him after he got popped for PEDs in 19'. I almost forgot he was in Minny. I wonder if the voters give him a hard time when his opportunity comes and keep him out saying he cheated his first 8 years too?
I know Football is a little different than baseball in how they feel about it but who knows the current politics of it is what I was wondering.
I do hope he makes it in one day.

*Bama fans know he intercepted that ball too

I'm just wondering if getting busted would change that for the voters

Yep. First ballot.
He and HB both were on the First Team All Decade for the 10's.
Great picture of him in Purple jersey in the rain if you can find it.

There were knuckleheads on here arguing that Stingley was better than PP7.

This isn’t that big of a deal like it is to the baseball writers that are stupid enough to let it be a big deal.

He couldn’t be a nicer guy. Got to meet him one day after a Cardinals practice. Saw my LSU shirt and gave me a Geaux Tigers. Spent a few minutes with him talking about the current team at the time. He definitely keeps up with LSU football.

I swear to God that play and the Rams interference play against the Saints make me irrationally mad to think about. I'm serious

Yes, his NFL career stats/accomplishments are comparable to Darrelle Revis.

Damn, not to spin off the Pete discussion, but Revis went from best at their position to out of the league quicker than anyone I've seen before. Minus a significant injury that I know of that is.

This guy is up there.

After this cover

quote:

Entering the 2011 season, Asomugha was regarded as the top free agent available on the market. On July 29, 2011, Asomugha agreed to a five-year, $60 million deal, and at least $25 million guaranteed, contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.[39][40] In 2011, he finished the season with 40 total tackles, 5 passes defended, and 3 interceptions. Asomugha was named a 2012 Pro Bowl alternate.[41] During his time in Philadelphia, the team struggled to a 12–20 record, missing the playoffs both years. Asomugha was eventually released by the team at the end of the 2012 season after he was unable to agree to a restructured deal with the team.[42]

quote:

On April 2, 2013, Asomugha signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers, under which he would earn a base salary of $1.35 million and with a chance to earn up to an additional $1.65 million in incentives.[43] On November 4, 2013, Asomugha was waived by the team.[44]

It's basically impossible to be irrationally mad about them. Extremely? Unhealthily? Yes. But not irrationally. It's rational to be that mad.
