No. Because there is no official data to confirm this statement. It’s just BS floated out there by the AD

I tend to agree Alt, but let's just say for arguments sake - this is true....Some folks say here Florida has spent less or about the same as us. I have no idea if that is true or not either but if so they are top 3 in the country.

But back to my main point - and assume just for the sake of this discussion that we are 15th, and let's say our former coach is here. You know, the one who was here before CMM.

Do you think we'd be second to last in the SEC in spending? Does the coach have no responsibility in what is raised to help their own program?
Cause I can guarantee whether you love him or despise him or anywhere in between, ain't no way we'd be 15th in the SEC in NIL money raised...I don't think anyone could possibly argue that point because even those who can't stand him know this is fact.

Hell, I bet every coach would like to just sit back like John Wooden, let somebody else bring all the players in and just coach. But that's not the norm, a coach at this level and at this time has to wear many hats, like it or not.

NIL budget is just an easy excuse to give McMahon another year.

There may not be enough talent on the roster to win the SEC or a national championship, but there should be enough to just make the tournament, and going 3 years without making an NCAA tournament appearance should be unacceptable.

Recruiting ranking per 247:

2022:
Overall - 17th
Composite - 17th
Transfer - 11th
SEC - 5th

2023:
Overall - 47th
Composite - 50th
Transfer - 17th
SEC - 10th

2024:
Overall - 16th
Composite - 14th
Transfer - 63rd
SEC - 5th

The amount of re-writing history to give Mcmahon an excuse for being a shitty coach is some next-level propaganda. They put out that number knowing that people in the fanbase would eat it up and say "shucks, it's not mcmahons fault. It's our damn donors fault". If Mcmahon has as terrible of a NIL budget as they claim, then how has he managed to land top 5 SEC recruiting classes 2 of the last 3 years? Just because he's a great guy? And what has he done with those 3 recruiting classes? Not a fricking thing

NIL doesn't design the offense. NIL doesn't coach players to be smarter with the ball. NIL doesn't sit on timeouts as your team blows an 11 point lead. NIL doesn't prevent you from being boat raced in the second half of the majority of your conference games because you can't make halftime adjustments. Coaching ability does. So add that to the list of things mcmahon doesn't have. But it's not my money, so I guess frick it let's burn some money as this ship continues to sink

Scotty hates basketball.

It’s but a budgetary line up him.

Minimize the expenses.

This should hang like a banner on tigerdroppings and/or outside of the PMAC to push back against the NIL excuse. McMahon sucks as a coach. The lack of NIL support isn’t the real issue. It’s the guy on the sidelines “coaching” our team.

Yep. Those are the same people who will, with no hesitation whatsoever, tell you that former HC was only good because he had the funds to pay “strong arse offers”. Yet no one is willing to put money in poor ole Matt’s collection plate no matter how hard he tries.

Like it or not, an HC’s job in this era is to be as much a fundraiser as a coach. If you don’t want to do that it’s completely understandable. Other coaches feel the same way and have gotten out of the business because of it. But if you are going to be in the business you better be willing to do what is necessary to win instead of repeatedly getting your arse kicked and saying “woe is me.” Or course you can do that when you have and AD who refuses to admit he made a mistake and a program where apathy is so prevalent few care enough to call out this BS

McMahon had dragged the bar for “success” so low that you will literally have some beyond giddy if LSU can move to 3-10 in SEC play tonight by beating the only team worse than them to match his longest LSU career winning streak of TWO games.

This honestly reminds me of Miles saving his job for another season with the Facebook moms getting so upset that he was about to get let go. Promises changes and a better team next season and them boom fired not even halfway through the season. I imagine the same will happen with McMid.
