I ran into one at the ole piss game this weekend...telling anyone who would listened that LSU will not make it to the BCS with JJ as QB...he was just miserable that LSU was playing JJ...I told him to enjoy the moment, this may never happen again..he then started telling anyone who would listen that people like me are idiots..you cannot help them; if we go 14-0 they will still find something wrong.

IT WAS NEVER LEE'S JOB. PERIOD. FTR I THINK LEE SHOULD START.
Really?? You're going with that? He started the first 5/6 games but it was never Lee's job "period"? How many games does a player have to start before it IS his job in your made-up bizzaro world of Junior High make-believe Smurfball?

IMO both give us an equal chance to win.
This is where you are wrong. See Bama game
So, when Lee has to come in against a team because their "run" D is so good we need to pass and LSU wins, does JJ need to sit and lose his job? Oh wait...

So are you predicting this will happen this year?

No i am not...you are using it as an argument for Lee losing his spot or Lee not needing to be the starter. Let's say Arky stuffs our run and JJ is inconsistent passing as usual. Does JJ get to lose his job because Lee has to come in and save him? We know that doesn't happen because last year Lee has come in to help out and he never got the start the next game.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad this team is playing great. But because i'm a football fan, i look at more than just the score. The QB thing here looks weird. And those of you that say JJ is just head and shoulders above Lee, that's why he starts, just don't watch the games.

JL and JJ have almost the exact smae numbers passing for their careers.
And if you want to use this years stats JJ's are better.

Every fan base has their idiots.

If the shady's mishap had been a misdemeanor to begin with, like it should have, JJ starts from game 1

Just have a few select idiots.
But I completely agree with you. Some people have to bitch just to bitch.
At the WKU game, this lady next to me kept screaming,"Keep the jailbird on the sidelines!" (referring to JJ) Way to stay classy.

He's been near perfect this season.

I've never heard anyone say JJ is head and shoulders above Lee. I think this is the argument against Lee actually. He has not proven to be head and shoulders above JJ, AND JJ can extend plays and drives with his legs. So by default, if both have equal passing ability you have to go with JJ because he can also run. But above that, I think JJ is a better passer right now than Lee, if only slightly better. Clearly I would not say he's head and shoulders better, but I think he is the better choice right now.
I've watched every play of every LSU game while both Lee and JJ have been here. And I have been extremely critical of both guys at times. But my eyes and my LSU fandom tell me that JJ right now gives us the best chance to win a BCS title. And that also matches what the LSU coaches think. So I feel fairly confident in my own assessment.

Agreed, and that's not what he said.

Enjoy this great season and don't worry about those that you don't agree with.
The people that can't do this are the ones he is talking about.

With out looking them up i will trust you and say "fair enough"...if that's true then why has Lee even seen the field the two previous years? If JJ is consistent enough, and produces every game, then we wouldn't have needed Lee am I right?
I just don't know why Les thinks JJ was needed to beat WKU and OM...think that's what's blowing most people's minds. Using JJ's stats from OM and WKU isn't all that definitive either.

Because we have 2 inconsistent QB's.

Let it go. Quit trying to figure CLM out and enjoy the wins.

No but it is all we have to go on. JL with the exception of the WVU or MSU game hasn't exactly lit it up. He has played great but some on here were saying he would get drafted based on a few of his performances and that just isn't being realistic.

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeees.
Really?
JL has actually played against somebody this year.. 8 frickING TIMES.... and played well.
JJ has played western uk and ole miss.
Please help me understand how your eyes and LSU fandom brings you to this conclusion.
BTW I know I left alabama out.
It was intentional.. Our offense looked liked shite regardless who was undercenter.

Some posters complain that every time Jordan Jefferson runs, he takes a carry away from a more effective runner.
Some posters complain that Jordan Jefferson should not carry the ball because we have RBs who can carry the ball.
However, Jordan Jefferson is a very effective runner with 4.2 yards per carry. What makes the statistic more remarkable is that Jefferson's 4.2 ypc includes sacks.
Moreover, LSU runs the ball better when Jefferson is on the field. Not just because he is an effective runner at 4.2 ypc, but also because he is an effective threat to run at the snap even if someone else ends up carrying the ball.
Jefferson Is A Damn Good Passer Too
Jefferson's Passing Efficiency has been hugely impressive starting with the Alabama game in 2010. Slice it anyway you want.
Similarly, the Comp%, Yds/Attempt, TD%, and Int% statistics and rankings are all damn good.

ugh, no it didn't. we moved the ball effectively with Jefferson and I think its clear that in a rematch with Alabama we will need Jefferson's speed so we can attack the edges of the Bama D where they are most vulnerable.
I was in the band. Lets get rid of your retarded jabs before they start so we can attempt to keep this as an adult conversation.

So it was the same performance for both?
Why leave out the game that got the #1QB spot for JJ?
